Ash's POV
I walked into English class and sighed as I put my bags down.

Ella and Des exchanged a look before scooting closer to the table and waiting for me to start talking.

I looked at them confused
"Girl don't even make that face cuz we saw the way Trey left and you went out of class before us... and still came after us." El said

"Um not y'all stalking us. Anyways y'all I am SCREWEDDDD" I whisper yelled settling down in my seat. " I was leaving the bathroom after texting y'all a-"

"Ladies do you mind?" Mrs. James said crossing her arms. "I'd like to start the lesson so can we stop the little side conversation please. Thank you."
"Yes ma'am" I spoke up before Ella could open her mouth and say something disrespectful. Normally I'd let her do whatever but I didn't feel like messing with a snotty teacher being mad at us.

I shot Ella a warning look and she put her hands up in surrender. We did the work Mrs. James gave us and then read silently until the bell rang.

When it did we packed up our stuff and walked out of class.

"I don't understand how that woman is married. How you gone hate kids because you too old to have any so you take it out on us?" Destiny said as soon as we stepped out.

"Righttttttt . Like I can understand why... her husband don't wanna bring more of her into the world so he taking one for the team." Ella added on.

"Y'all are wild bro. I'm not tryna deal with her getting all in her pissy and giving us a life lecture. I got enough goin on today." I said shaking my head.

"What even happened?" Des asked
"I'll tell y'all after school." I sighed turning down the hallway.

The next two periods were a blur for me and I was just ready to be done with the day.

If I can make it out of this last class in one piece... I'll be good I told myself as I walked into my last period. Biology was easy to me so I figured it'd be a breeze and no problem.

"Ok class my projector isn't working sooooo today we're going to do a lab instead. So if you would go and pick partners-" Mrs. Cooper announced.

The way I can't have shit. I mentally rolled my eyes and sighed. When I looked up I saw Trey sitting in front of me and... either staring or zoned out in my general direction.

I sat up and took out one of my AirPods. "What?" I asked.
Trey shook his head. "You ready to work on this?" He asked standing.
I shrugged and grabbed my supplies and followed him to our spot the hallway to do our lab.

I began working right away avoiding conversation as much as I could.... But that backfired like a mf because we finished early and now had nothing to do. When I put my AirPods back into my ears to block the world out again my music suddenly stopped. A mug I didn't know I had grew on my face as I slowly turned my head to see who DARED do some shii like that.
I looked over at Trey " I know you lying. You must not love your life" I said snatching my phone back "disrespectful ass niggas who act like they mamas ain't raise em. Bull shit... I oughta smack the f-"

"Ight Ight ash I get it. My fault I just wanted to talk to you." He said stopping me from continuing.

I stared at him and put my AirPod back in my ear but he grabbed my arm before I could. I stared at the hand on my skin and cocked an eyebrow before Trey jerked his hand back.
"Ashlyn chill for real. Just give me a few minutes... please?" He asked putting his hand back in his lap.

"What" I sighed. Putting my AirPods in their case.

"Wait I thought we were past all this hostility for me." He said
