Ash's POV
As much as I was gonna miss the seniors that graduated, I was MORE than ready to be out of school for 3 months. Summer meant my birthday, vacations, and THEE best outfits. It takes me about 3 days to get used to summer, but this time it was different. It's one of my last stress free summers under my parent's roof because by next year I'm heading off to college God knows where. When I'm not sitting at home bored, I'm at work. My birthday is gonna be on a Monday this year so I'm not expecting to do anything big. Oh! And we no longer fw nick. And by we I mean me because El and Des see him as their 'older brother' so they're besties. That's... whatever but okay. Anyways what had happened was: I found out from El that exactly a week after nick and I kissed... his lips were on someone else's. When she told me she said 'oh I thought you knew'. Come to find out I was the only one who DIDN'T know. Yea... that does something to a person. He also lowkey started having a drinking problem and becoming someone I don't even recognize anymore... I digress. Mother dearest and I are currently packing our bags for a flight. I'm doing a pre-college program where I take two college classes for two weeks and live on campus. Fun stuff ... but I'm gonna have a roommate and know no one there. Kinda good for a refresh and a break from the people around me but meeting new people? I don't know bout that one.

We land and fall asleep as soon as our heads touch the hotel pillows because we have a long morning coming up.
By 7 am, which was an hour ahead from home, we were up and headed to the university. There was a long line for check in and an even longer one for our rooming arrangement. Luckily enough, we got to the room first, so I chose my side of the room and began cleaning immediately. About an hour later, a lean caucasian girl walks into the room with her family to help her move in. Once we were both settled, our families left us to get acquainted with each other and explore for the afternoon. She was cool but we didn't have a lot in common. We got along that's all that matters. A few people were leaving dorms to walk in the city so we decided to join them. There weren't a whole lot of people who looked like me there if you know what I mean. But the five of us that were there bonded very fast and before I knew it, the two weeks were over and I was saying goodbye and was on a flight back home. I went on a summer church trip, hung out with friends and even did a summer production with theater and got to reconnect with some alumni. The rest of summer sped by like most of everything senior year. But if you think it wasn't eventful... oh baby think again.
