Skye

Breathing heavily, Skye lifts her head, eyes landing on her opponent. With a dee breath, she forces herself to take the stand once more, holding her arms in the right spot, light on her feet to be able to move if needed. She can feel how tired she is and all she wants in this very moment is to head up to her room and drop dead on her bed. Taking in another deep breath, Skye forces the tired feeling down for now.

Before either she or her opponent has a chance to move, the doors to the training room opens and Skye turns her head to the side to see who would dare to enter the room. Seeing that it's Pepper, Skye let's out a sigh of relief. Since it's Pepper, it will mean an end to her training for the day.

"Pepper, we are in the middle of something here."

She can hear Natasha complain and from the corner of her eyes, Skye can see that Natasha relaxes in her stand. The red-haired assassin knows she can complain all she wants about the training being interrupted; nothing will get Pepper to change her mind.

"Wanted to tell the two of you that dinner is ready, the two of you have been down here for over 2 hours by now."

Pepper tells them, hearing how long they have been down there, Skye starts to understand why she is as tired as she is in this moment. Some food, a hot shower and some rest would be perfect for her right now. Relaxing her own stand, she starts to rub her arms, the gloves Tony and Leo created for her are working well. She hasn't had any broken bones for a couple of weeks now and she have started to get a hand of her powers.

Thor had really stepped up in helping her learn more about her powers and he had made sure to find out as much about what had gone down with the Kree on earth. All the extra information had given them an extra boost. She still has nightmares, now it's rare that she wakes up with the room shaking badly. Which she is happy about, the only thing she misses is the large TV and Maria staying with her to make sure she's alright after every nightmare.

Once Tony was sure she was sleeping through the nights again and the fact that she's not hiding in her own room anymore, he takes back his TV once more. Which is quiet annoying since no one else in the tower wants to watch her and Maria's show and there aren't many missions for them either at the moment, meaning there wasn't a time where they are alone to watch it.

Something tells her, that the rest of the team makes sure they are always around, and it's slowly starting to get on her nerves. She loves the Avengers, she really does, but she could use with some time off from them and just take it easy. Realizing that Pepper is still looking at her, Skye nods her head.

"Food sounds good right about now."

She tells Pepper who gives her a smile. Feeling how Natasha moves towards her, Skye quickly turns around and blocks the attack without a single problem. Seeing the smile Natasha gives her, Skye can't help but to smile back.

"Okay, that is enough you two!"

Pepper speaks up, making Natasha and Skye look at her, grinning slightly but they step away from one another. They both know Pepper's tell when she's starting to get annoyed, and they are dancing on a thin line at the moment.

"We are coming Pepper."

Skye tells her and seeing how Pepper nods her head at this before turning around, Skye quickly hits Natasha as pay back before following Pepper, before Natasha has a chance to hit her back. Hearing how Natasha grumbles behind her, Skye can't help but to laugh slightly about it all. At her laugher, she can see how Pepper stops in front of her, the CEO turning their head to look at her. Coming to a stop herself, she looks at Pepper with a lift of her eyebrow.

"It's just good to hear you laugh like this again."

Pepper tells her and Skye blinks a few times, she had not expected to hear this. Thinking back to the last few weeks in the building, she had started to return into her old ways, the ways the Avengers had grown use to during her other time there. And if she is to be quite frank with herself, she's quite happy that she is back to her old self once more.

The stress of getting powers and the fear of hurting anyone had been to much on her, she knows that now. With a shake of her head, Skye starts to walk once more, now leaving Pepper and Natasha behind her. As she reaches the kitchen, she sees that she, Pepper and Natasha are the last one to join, which surprises her. Normally Tony would be the last one to enter the kitchen, most of the time Pepper will need to drag him there.

Taking the empty spot beside Maria, the woman gives her a nod of her head and smiles. Smiling back, Skye looks at the table before deciding on what she wants to eat.

"Skye, I forgot to ask, how are the gloves working out for you?"

Hearing Tony ask, Skye look up from her food. Placing one hand over the glove, she looks down on them once more.

"They are working very well Tony, thank you again for this."

She tells him and she can see how Tony smiles big and proud. Hearing that Natasha and Pepper has finally catch up with her, joining them all at the table. Looking around herself, Skye finally starts to feel like herself fully and something tells her that something bad is about to happen. Considering her track record, it would just be fitting.
