Chapter 24

"Espresso Macchiato for you" 

Napaayos ako ng upo ng dumating na agad si Kenj dala ang aming order. Nandito kami ngayon sa isang cafe malapit sa mall dahil hinhintay namin si Jerome. Sinundo nya ako sa bahay dahil nga ayoko rin namang magcommute baka matagalan pa ang dating ko.

"Thanks, Kenj" I said and smiled.

"What now? Umiyak ka uli last night?" Tanong nya na ikinaikot ng aking mga mata.

"Hindi ah, bakit pa diba?" I said as I sipped on my cup.

I can say that Kenj almost knew about my past. Out of the students kasi sa campus, siya na talaga ang nakakasa-kasama ko for the passed 2 years, he's like my boy version of Chleo. 

"Come on. Lilianne Shayne! Ngayon ka pa ba magdedeny?" He giggled. Napailing naman ako sa kanya.

"You know what, Jerome is nice. Why don't you try to-"

"Kenj, you know na ayaw ko munang pumasok uli sa isang relationship right? Geez." I cut him off.

"You sure? You don't want to or you're still into him?" he asked as he raise his brows.

Muntikan ko ng mabitawan ang cellphone na hawak ko sa sinabi nya that made him chuckled.

"Di ah! Napakatagal na non. I hate you na!" I pouted at him.

"I love ya more!" he said and wink at me.

"Am I disturbing something here?"

Pareho kaming napatingin ni Kenj sa nagsalita sa gilid namin. My eyes widened and I even saw how Kenj's mouth formed an O. Paano ba naman kasi, Jerome was wearing a loose ripped jeans and a fitted gray sweater defining his body and pairing it with white shoes. It's simple but too attractive na kahit sino mapapatingin talaga sakanya. Dahil gwapo rin naman kasi sya, maputi at matangkad.

"How you doin' papi?" Kenj uttered.

Agad naman akong napaayos ng upo at napatawa sa sinabi ni Kenj.

"May I join you here ladies?" Jerome asked.

"Kung sino pa ang nagyaya, sya pa ang late" Halos natatawa kong sabi.

I heard him chuckled as he sat down in front of us. He looked at me with an amuse smile.

"Kaya nga naman, at dahil dyan you'll pay for our meal later okeh?" Kenj said without any doubt. Agad ko naman syang sinipa sa ilalim ng mesa.

"Sure why not. Sorry to keep you waiting, Lilianne" 

Gulat naman akong napatingin sakanya. And I almost choke when our eyes met. Bakit parang pamilyar? 

"Aba! Excuse me? Who am I to you, JE?" Napaiwas ako ng tingin kay Jerome nong nagsalita si Kenj. That's awkward.

"I'm with Lilianne oh, that's why you kept us waiting, okeh? Don't be to obvious you silly!" sagot ni Kenj grinning at him.

Jerome shook his head and smiled. Maya't maya palang ay we decided to stroll down to the mall, good thing my dad's card is with me kaya makakabili ako ng gusto ko this time. When we moved here, hindi ako masyadong nakakalabas at gumagala well maliban nalang kung talagang nangungulit 'tong si Kenj, I'll accompany him to somewhere pero not that much though. Since that happened, I became a busy person. Focusing with my studies, overnight with my classmates when there is an important group activities to do, staying at home and sometimes I just jog. Ganun lang talaga ang routine ko kaya this is something new na I'll go shopping.

"Omg. Let's get in here" Kenj pulled me inside a certain boutique where popular brands are all in. 

Nagpatianod na lamang ako sakanya while Jerome was just following us. Agad naman syang pumili ng mga kung ano anong makita nya sa loob, knowing Kenj, mahilig sya sa mga dresses or somethings kahit hindi naman nya talaga isinusuot. There's even one time he went to Paris with his family, halos lahat ng pasalubong nya sa akin ay mga A-Line dress , Maxi, wrap dresses and so on.
