Wizarding War (George Weasley)

A/n this first one is sad but it's the first one I thought about. I hope you enjoy!

Y/N's pov:

I've been running through the rubble for what felt like hours, I know it's only been a few minutes. I have to find them, I can't lose my best friend and my fiance. I round a corner and see them fighting off death eaters. As I run to join them, a death eater just barely misses Fred. I take a breath of relief until I see the wall start to crumble.

"FREDDIE!!" I yell while running towards him

"Y/N!" I hear George yell but I'm too concentrated on saving my best friend.

I shove Fred out of the way just before the wall comes crashing down on top of me, the last thing I hear are the twins screams.

George's Pov:

As I'm fighting off death eaters, I hear Y/N scream my brother's name. I see it happening in slow motion, she wouldn't, would she?

"Y/N!" I yell and start running towards her but I'm not fast enough. Freddie is shoved out of the way of the collapsing wall and before I know it a piece of the wall falls on top of the love of my life.

"NO!" My brother and I scream at the same time.

"Avada Kedavra" Fred yells at the remaining death eater while I run to the rubble and remove it as fast as I can possibly move.

"No, no no no, no please Merlin no"

Freddie runs over to help me move more debris, and then I see her. My beautiful fiance, bloodied and broken, barely breathing but still alive. I gather her broken body as carefully as I can and run to the Great Hall with Fred on my heels.

"Baby please don't leave me, please! I can't do this without you, please" I'm whispering as tears stream down my face.

We make it to the Great Hall, and I see my whole family still alive. My knees buckle and I land on them still holding my angel in my arms. "Y/N please talk to me darling! Please!" I start to yell at her, and then I see them. The most beautiful y/e/c eyes I've ever seen, the ones I fell for the moment I met her on the train to Hogwarts.

"Georgie" she says, barely above a whisper with the smallest smile on her face. I manage a smile because she is alive and speaking to me.

"Why did you do that Y/N?!" Freddie yells desperately.

Her eyes slowly wander to Freddie, who is on her other side.

"Georgie can't lose you Freddie." She said with a small chuckle

She looks back at me, "Baby? You know I love you right?"

"Of course, my love" I choke out

"I need you to listen to me, please."

I nod with tears streaming down my face.

"I love you more than life itself, and I'm sorry I hurt you but I wouldn't change my choice. Don't mourn me forever, and don't hate Freddie. Lean on him and please don't forget me. I'm so sorry that I didn't get to marry you like you wanted."

"No baby please" I sob into her neck

"Sh shh baby, it's going to be okay. You're going to be okay. I love you" Her hand scratched the back of my head before I felt it slowly drop. I looked up, seeing her eyes closed, pale, and no longer breathing. I held her head to my chest as i let out a gut wrenching sob. "I love you so much please, please come back"

Fred is holding her hand, sobbing because he just lost his best friend. Wondering why she didn't just let the wall crush him.

The rest of the Weasley family is gathered around so no one can see your broken state but them, silently crying as they watch George break into a million pieces knowing they can't fix this.
