I was eating lunch at the Slytherin table with Blaise and Draco. The three of us had become much closer since Blaise and I started dating three months ago. We were talking when my brother sat himself down right next to Draco and straight across from me. Draco gave him a half-hearted glare as I tried to hold back my laughter.

"You were right" Cormac sighed out

"What was I right about?" I asked as I took a sip of my pumpkin juice

"Granger isn't interested in me, she likes Weasley" he looked at me as I chewed on my lip guiltily.

"You knew?"

"I tried to warn you, Cor" I said as I levitated a piece of chocolate cake over to me. I saw Blaise and Draco watching our interactions with curiosity.

"Yeah, I guess. Did you know she liked Weasley?"

"I had an inkling but I wasn't positive" I said sliding the chocolate cake over to my brother. He looked at me before stabbing a fork into the cake, making me smile a bit.

"What's he have that I don't?"

"Honestly, I have no idea but you can't help who you fall for"

"Don't use mum's words to make a point" he says, pointing his fork at me.

I put my hands up in defense, before laughing, "Like I told you before, you'll find someone who loves you for you, Cormac. Don't rush it, someone will see past the arrogant exterior you put up and see the caring and sensitive person you really are"

"I am not arrogant," I raise an eyebrow at him. He scoffs, "Whatever."

I giggle and lay my hand on top of his, "You are everything I said you are, which in turn makes you the most amazing brother"

He smiles, "Sensitive though?"

"Fragile heart"

"I do not"

"Do too"

"Fuck off" he said with a smirk, he kissed my hand before standing up to head back to his friends, "Thank you, Y/n/n"

"Anytime, Cor" I watched as he walked off, feeling Blaise wrap his arm around my waist and pull me close to him.

"How did you know to give him cake?" Draco asks

"Chocolate fixes everything" I said laughing, "It's how we cheered each other up as children, too, it's our love language, as well as arguing with each other."

That had both Draco and Blaise chuckling.

"What's my love language?" Draco asked

"Reassurance and gifts"

Draco's eyes widened, "How-?"

"You like being told you are loved, and you live off of praise showing me you don't get a whole lot of that at home. You, also, like giving gifts to your friends. You feel showering people with presents shows them how much you care for them." I smiled at him

"What about me?" Blaise asked

"Funny enough, physical affection and quality time. You like holding hands and being hugged and kissed, you just don't know how to initiate it yourself. If I'm busy doing homework, you'll just sit beside me quietly until I'm done, showing me you like spending time around me even if we aren't doing anything."

Blaise and Draco just look at me in awe before looking at each other.

"No one has ever tried to get to know us like that before" Draco said

"You two are easy to read once you let your guard down a little, but you put your walls up extra hard so I was only able to figure it out because you allowed me to. Cormac is the same way, it's why I can read people with tough exteriors."
