A/n: This may seem confusing at first, but it is a short series with the end game being Blaise Zabini.

Growing up a McLaggen meant a couple of things for me. My brother, Cormac, and I grew up in a slightly strict pureblooded household, but our home was full of love and understanding, as well. My parents were more strict when it came to our upbringing but they taught us that blood purity did not matter. We were never told who we could or couldn't be friends with, and mum always said, "You can't help who you fall in love with".

The one good thing about being a twin, I've always had my best friend by my side. Even if my best friend can act like a rich asshole sometimes, he still protects me to his fullest extent. Our parents may have money, but Cormac and I show that in different ways. While he tries to show it through his personality, I am way more inclined to show it through shopping. Cormac likes to act a bit arrogant, but to be honest, it is all an act. I wish he would show who he really was, more often, but it's his way of keeping his walls up so he won't get hurt. I'm way more open and trusting than Cormac, which he believes is a bit of flaw, even though he loves that about me as well. He feels the need to protect me because of that. So, you can imagine his reaction when I decided to willingly put myself in danger by joining Dumbledore's Army.

We were sitting in the Hogshead in secret, listening to the golden trio talk about wanting to start this defence club.

"Y/n, is this really a good idea?" Cormac whispers in my ear

"Of course it is, Cor" I say, keeping my eyes on the three up front, "We aren't learning anything from that pink toad, and if any student can teach us about defensive spells, it's Harry Potter."

"I get that, but this is dangerous"

"The world we are living in, right now, is dangerous, Cormac" I say, finally looking at him, "I want to be able to protect myself when the time comes. You can't be by my side and protect me forever."

My worrywart of a twin brother, holds eye contact with me for a few minutes. Not finding any sort of lie, he turns his attention back to the front, "Okay".

I have a small smile on my face as I scan the crowd before looking at Potter, again, but not before my gaze connects with the younger Weasley twin, George. I give him a slight smirk before turning my full attention back to the three standing at the front.

When the first DA meeting in the room of requirement ended, Cormac and I were getting ready to head back to Gryffindor Tower when our last name was called.

"McLaggen" making us both turn towards the voice.

"Hey George" I said giving him a smile.

"How did you know I was George so quickly?" He asked, curiously

Cormac and I chuckle after looking at each other, "Being a twin, you tend to notice the subtle differences easier than most." Cormac says

"Besides, you and Fred are honestly totally different from each other, if people paid attention more, they'd realize that" I smile

"Interesting," he smirks a bit, "mind if I borrow your sister?"

Before Cormac can say anything, I shoo him off, letting him know we are still headed in the same direction, I would just be a couple minutes behind him. With that reassurance, he heads off in the direction of the tower.

"What's up?" I ask George

"To be up front and honest, I find you pretty interesting. I know we don't know each other very well, but maybe you'd like to get to know me a bit more on a date to Hogsmeade this weekend?"
