Chaos (Cormac McLaggen)

Running through the broken corridors, I dodged spells as I jumped over fallen rocks from the castle, when a death eater ran in front of me. When I went to shout a curse, I heard another voice yell before I felt a warm presence standing behind me. After firing my spell, and completely immobilizing the death eater, I turned around.

"Thanks, McLaggen" I said, with evident shock on my face.

"Are you okay?" He asked

"I'm fine, are you?"

"All good"

We stood there for a second before we started to part ways when two black clouds started to swirl around us. McLaggen and I stepped back towards each other, glancing at one another before standing back to back. We were ready to duel. After swapping spells with the enemy, I finally knocked mine down, McLaggen's opponent not too far behind mine. We stood there for a moment catching our breath.

I grabbed his hand, "You're my new dueling partner" I said before I started dragging him down the corridors with me.

Once he got his footing, he was running right next to me. Both of us dodging spells, and firing some back as we hope for somewhere safe soon. We come up on some of my family fighting in the halls, I see the death eater get ready to shoot a spell, but he wasn't aiming at Fred, he was aiming at the wall. I started speeding up as I yelled.

"PERCY!" I saw him look in my direction, "FRED!"

Percy looked up before seeing the wall start to crumble, he ran, tackling Fred out of the way. I fell on my knees next to them.

"Perce?"

"I'm okay" he said, grabbing my face in his hands and kissing my forehead, "Good catch."

We both looked at Fred, he looked shaken but was looking at both of us.

"How ya doin' Freddie?" I asked quietly

"I think my leg's broken" he said quietly, "but I'm alive thanks to you two." He smiled, a bright Freddie smile, one that we almost lost.

I ran my hand through my big brother's hair, "I'm so glad you're okay."

Percy and I started getting him to his feet, helping him balance on his good leg. McLaggen made me trade places so Fred would be more stable. We got him to the hospital wing, finding an open bed, and laying him on it. One of the healers from St. Mungos came over to tend to Freddie when we got word of a brief respite.

"I'm going to go check on the rest of the family, maybe send Georgie your way. I'll let them know you're okay, Freddie." I lean over giving him a quick kiss on the cheek, making him smile.

McLaggen and I started walking towards the Great Hall.

"You're a good dueler, Weasley"

I giggled, "Thanks, but you were incredible as well. Also, I think it's safe to call me Y/n, don't ya think? I mean, we have been running around the castle together, Cormac."

He smirked, the signature smirk that he used to wear all around the castle before this year. "I couldn't agree more, Y/n."

We continued conversing as we made our way to the Great Hall. When we entered, I noticed everyone of my family members, aside from Fred and Percy, were there looking a bit panicked. Ron saw me first, running straight towards me. I stumbled back with the force of the hug.

"I thought something had happened to you" Ron said, muffled from the hug.

Before I could get any words out, he dragged me over to my family. Ginny hugged me first, before George scooped me up into a hug.
