Minerva rounded the corner, her face contorted into a tight-lipped smile as she tried to remain stern, though I could tell she was struggling.

"What?!" she asked, still trying hard not to laugh.

"Minerva!" I shrieked, noticing how Severus still had me pressed to the wall. "This is not what it looks like!"

"Oh, really! Well, considering I just heard certain... things coming from Severus's mouth... I don't think that is entirely true."

"No, Minerva, I promise!" I moved away from the wall and toward Minerva. "Some friends of mine have been giving Severus a hard time. They seem to think we are dating so we thought it would be funny to mess with them." I could see Minerva trying not to laugh as she continued.

"And how, exactly, did you do that?"

"Well, we uh..." From behind me, I could hear Severus cracking up. "Shut it! This was your idea!" I said, laughing as I turned to face him.

"Hey! I'm not the one who threatened to let me fuck her in front of her best friends... which I appreciate by the way. Maybe after we are married."

"Severus!" I shrieked. "You are so dead!" At this point, Minerva could no longer control her laughter.

"Well, that's one way to shut them up. Good work, Y/n," she replied, wiping away the tears that had slipped down her cheeks from her laughter. "Just so long as you don't do anything in my chambers and you don't get pregnant, Y/n."

"Minnie!" Laughter filled the corridor as we realized a professor was condoning Severus and I screwing to get back at my friends... just so long as I didn't get pregnant and we didn't do it in her chambers. As we finally calmed down and Minnie wiped more tears from her eyes, she began to speak.

"But, truthfully... Are you two platonic? Because you'd be cute together..."

"Minnie," I warned.

"Right, got it. Shutting up. Get to bed you two. Don't be out past curfew."

"Thanks, Mom," I replied. Something flashed in her eyes as she smiled. I sensed a look of longing for a brief moment before it quickly went away. Severus and I walked down the corridor before returning to our shared quarters.

...

The next few days passed quickly. Several people still stared but Severus made sure to shut them down instantly. My Gryffindor friends laid off Severus but only slightly. They simply stopped bothering him while I was around. I think this was only because they didn't want to hear me moan Severus's name while they watched him pleasure me. They knew I was becoming more ruthless and wouldn't care about hurting their precious little egos. Though I loved them and would protect them with my life, I was done with their manipulative tactics and their games.
