Chapter 3: The Hosptial Wing

"Are they going to be okay?" That was the next thing she heard. She opened her eyes to see absolutely nothing. 'What's going on? Am I dead?' She thought.

"Miss. Halverson should be fine." Madame Pomfery said. "She'll wake up in a matter of minutes and will be able to leave after that." With that Sirius dashed over to the side of Mya's bed. They all knew he loved her. He wanted to be the first person she saw when she woke up. Leaving Remus, James and Madame Pomfery standing there.

"What about Abbe?" Remus asked the fear in his voice rising. Madame Pomfery didn't say anything. "What about Abbe?" James said this time more forcefully than Remus. She flinched. James never spoke like that... to anyone. Madame Pomfery had a nervous look on her face. "Tell us!" They both yelled. Madame Pomfery flinched at their anger and aggression.

"It seems that she has a concussion and..." Madame Pomfery didn't finish her sentence.

"And what?" James asked. "She's my sister, you have to tell me."

"She has gone temporally *gulp* blind. I have sent a letter to your parents informing them of Miss Potter's accident, i didn't tell them about her being blind and they should arrive here tonight or tomorrow before classes."

"Blind?" Abbe said loud enough so they could hear. "Why does everything have to happen to me?"

"Love, are you alright?" Remus asked as he raced over to see if she was okay.

"I don't know, you tell me... I can't see either of you and that is really doesn't help me right now." She finished sadly tears streaming down her face. James and Remus both hugged her and let her cry into their robes. "Where's Sirius?" Abbe asked finally, with tears still streaming down your face. She needed her best guy friend.

"He's over by Mya. I'll go get them." Remus said letting the twins comfort each other.

"Oh James why is Mya here?" She said curiously.

"Yeah about that....You actually ran into her with your broom." He said. Seeing the guilty look on her face here then added "She's ok though. Just got a broken nose." Just then Remus, Mya and Sirius walked back to them.

"Abbe, Remus told us what happened... And I want you to know I am still dashingly handsome as always." Sirius said.

"I would hit you but I don't know where you are." She giggled. They heard an 'ow' come from Sirius. "Thanks, to whoever hit him." She said laughing a little.

"Your welcome." Mya said. "Just go over there and hug her." Mya whispered to Sirius. He stepped over there as the others let go and hugged his best girl friend. Just then Madame Pomfery walked over to the group.

"Miss Potter, I believe that the effects of your concussion should wear off in about a week, but until then you will need someone to escort you around the castle. Did you have anyone in mind?" 'Because I don't need the head girl in here all week' she thought.

"Actually, I did." She said happily. She took what she thought was Remus' hand and spoke quietly to him. "I am sorry but, I Think it would be best if James escorted me around the castle. He may be a huge help, seeing as he is my brother and twin." She said softly.

"Uh, Abbe, your holding Sirius' hand..." James said. She whispered a quick sorry to Sirius. Remus took her head in head in both of his hands and kissed her forehead.

"Darling, it's alright I understand." He said softly. "He's knows you a lot better than me." On the inside he was rather mad that she hadn't chosen him, but brushed it off since he was kind of uneasy since the full moon was on Wednesday. He was kind of sad because Abbe wasn't able to come to the shrieking shack since she couldn't see.

"James will escort me around the castle, if that's alright with him." She said to Madame Pomfery.

"Of course, it's alright with me sis, why wouldn't I want to." James replied.

"Alright, just be careful, Miss. Potter you may leave as soon as you change." Madame Pomfery said. Abbe shooed all of them out and pulled the curtain around the bed and tried to change into the clothes that James had gotten from Kristen for her before he came to the Hospital Wing as fast a she could. She stepped out of the curtain in blue jeans and a shirt that said 'Expecto Patronum!' with her patronus on there, a rabbit, and her bright blue converse she bought while they were in America this past summer. "Wow, you look stunning sis, how did Remus get so lucky to have a girl like you?" James said as he kissed her cheek as Abbe laughed at him. "Oh and by the way, since you caught the snitch, your the new seeker. Our first will be in two weeks, so we don't have to practice without you."

"Yay! Well, we better get going." The five of them walked up to Gryffindor tower. Well carried up the steps in Abbe's case. They took turns carrying her since she was still tired. That stopped, when while in Sirius' arms she fell asleep. "Why don't you just carry her?" Remus whispered to Sirius. With a quick nod they head up the steps and were almost to Gryffindor tower when Abbe started squirming in his arms. Sirius nudged James with his elbow and looked at him for some answers. "Oh no, she's having a nightmare...we need to get her to the common room and now!" James all but yelled. They began to run as fast as their legs would carry them, which was not very fast for Sirius. They got to the common room, spit out the password to the fat lady portrait and bolted into the common room. Sirius set Abbe down on the couch. They all gathered around her on the floor. Remus grabbed a blanket and set it on top of her

"What the bloody heck was that?!" Remus shouted.

"Well, Abbe started having nightmares when we were about four and we took her to see a healer about it and they said to give her dreamless sleep potion but that didn't work. We went back to the healer and they said that they couldn't do anything about it, it has to do how her brain imagines things." James explained. "We have to wake her up, it's not good for her." Remus said.

"Wait, mum said to wake her up when she starts talking. They said that it could mean she would slip into a coma. That's why mum and dad had us stay in the same room when we were growing up, so I could wake her up."

"What if she won't wake up?" Sirius asked curiously.

"I don't know Padfoot, it never happened before."
