A/N: Since I left the last chapter off the way I did, it's gonna be really strange to pick this back up and have it make sense with them just getting up and continuing the mission, so the last two or three paragraphs areY/N gonna be in here as well, just so everyone is up to speed :)

Phase Quartz Mine, Blizar Prime
Thursday, 19/08/32

"There's something I've gotta ask you..." Rivet and I said at the same time, both our faces lighting up as soon as we finished our sentence. "You first-" Rivet said quickly.

I nodded and took a deep breath, trying to calm myself as much as possible before I confessed exactly how I felt to her. "As soon as I met you, I had a feeling you were... different. Special. Deep down, I was kinda drawn to you. I wanted to find out about you and get to know you. And I know it's only been a couple of days since this all this started, but... I've developed these feelings for you, and I wanted to know... would you like to... be my girlfriend?" I asked quietly, blush quickly colouring my cheeks a deep red.

Rivet pulled me towards her and locked us in a passionate kiss, her arms snaking around my neck as mine moved to loosely hold her around her waist. After a moment, we broke the kiss and Rivet put her forehead against mine, looking into my eyes and smiling. "I don't think there's anything I want more than that right now~"

"Your display of affection is admirable, but you two must remember we are here for a reason." Clank stated, bringing us back to reality. "We need a way to mine the phase quartz. Perhaps the giant drill..."

"Let's find someone who can point us to it!" Rivet said, jumping out of the seat and running off the platform. I followed close behind, seeing a few workers in blue safety suits standing at a gateway with a sign on top of it. Rivet and I stopped in the gateway and looked out at the other side to see hundreds of workers milling around, some on breaks and some on their way into mines.

"Ah, this is the mining hub." Clank looked over my shoulder at the area in front of us. "Perhaps someone here can direct us to the drill. The chief engineer's survey station should be nearby..."

"You're just a pack of fun facts, aren't ya Bolts?" I asked as we walked into the area. Rivet giggled, looking up at the looming machinery.

"Indeed. For example, the average miner spends 72 percent of their life underground." Clank stated, watching all the miners walk past.

"Woah, really?" Rivet asked, looking at Clank.

"No, but I would hate to bore you by running out of trivia." 

"He almost got ya!" I exclaimed, smiling at Rivet. 

"Oh be quiet." She playfully punched me in the arm and we both laughed a little. 

Clank had gone quiet for a moment as we walked, and I realised he was peering at passing miners. "Hmm. These individuals appear as confused as we are." He observed, looking at Rivet.

"Earthquakes, lockdowns, interdimensional rifts. Can't really blame 'em, but we need that drill." Rivet said as we walked around

"We might wanna hurry then, Riv. There's a chance this Blizar's got the same fate as the Blizar in your dimension." I turned to her, jogging backwards for a second before spinning around again, running up to another lift platform on the other side of a small building in a hill.

"I believe we are close to the survey station." Clank informed as I walked closer to the platform, Rivet behind me. "The decorations here are slightly more colourful than in my dimension..."
