Aurora's Point of View:
Charles and I slept on the same bed in case I woke up with a panic attack. It was so comforting to be sleeping next to him. I'm sure my grandmother wouldn't approve of this but I didn't care right now. This was perfect for me and exactly what I needed.
We were doing a lot better. Relationships take a lot of work. There is no way around it. Communication is key. It's the staple that everything should be built on because nothing else will work the way it should without having those skills to communicate.
It's a learning process. He prefers when I voice how I am feeling and I like him holding me. We have our differences but we are able to come together and compromise. Charlie does so much for me. Sometimes I feel bad because I don't function well all of the time like I am expected to. Before I came here I never had panic attacks. Now, I have them daily.
My alarm went off. It was time for my run. They didn't have an outdoor track but I was able to locate an indoor one that I could run at. I looked back at Charlie who was still sleeping.
"Good morning, Charlie." I kissed his cheek. He stirred in his sleep.
"What time is it?" Shit.
"Go back to sleep. I'll see you later." I quietly walked out of the room forgetting he isn't used to waking up before dawn. Whoops.
I began my run. It was so quiet here and I enjoyed it very much. Some of the servants walked by here and there but I barely saw them while I was running. I kept track of how many times I ran around the track.
By the end, I was exhausted more so than usual. I realized I ran eight miles instead of my normal five miles. I rested on the floor sipping my water. Someone asked if I was okay. I could barely talk I was so out of breath. Using my thumb I gave them a thumbs up hoping they understood.
Once I could breathe, I went back to the room I was given so I could shower there without disturbing Charlie anymore than I already have. He deserves to rest.
After my shower, I changed into a nice outfit for the day. Charlie was still sleeping so I walked to the dining room without him. The servants were setting up the table meaning breakfast wasn't quite ready yet.
I wasn't really sure what to do so I just kind of stood there, awkwardly. Eventually, Claudia and Edward came down. We exchanged hellos and took a seat at the table. I poured coffee into my mug. Charlie wasn't down yet.
"Aurora, how did you sleep last night?" Claudia asked.
"I slept well. Um, Charlie should be down soon."
"Oh, he's not a morning person. I don't expect him to come down for a while."
"What do you mean he's not a morning person? All summer he's been having breakfast with my grandmother and me."
"Interesting." We were almost done with breakfast when Charlie came into view. He sat down and dished up his plate. "Good morning, Charlie. I heard something very interesting from Aurora."
"What did she tell you?" Charlie asked.
"Aurora told us how you wake up early to have breakfast with her and her grandmother. Mind telling us why you couldn't do that with us because of your sleep problems?"
