I wasn't going to update today but figured I'd honor the days I said I would. Should be a good chapter! Heading into dead week which is like the last week of classes. From what I see of my six classes I only have two finals for finals week! Yay!-expressionwriter
I didn't have to stress about the party any longer. Phase one was complete. Now onto phase two which is marrying Charles. The first step on that journey would be breaking up with my five boyfriends that I have gotten to know all summer.
My mother was leaving this morning so I said my goodbyes to her. The next time I would probably see her would be my wedding day which sounded so crazy to me.
Joe handed me a list of things to do today that my grandmother had made for me. Of those included thank you notes to every guest who came...handwritten. The timetable for that is two weeks which I found was doable. Another thing on the list was the proposal. It's going to happen this week or next.
I was sitting in my room working on the thank you notes as I didn't have much else to do. My grandmother walked into my room very concerned.
"Aurora? How are you doing with everything?" She asked.
"Um, just starting on the thank you notes. Charles is somewhere in the castle. I thought I'd get started on these as they were pretty important."
"Have you seen the news?"
"No? Why?" My grandmother rushed to the television and turned on the news channel which showed a breaking news article.
What was in front of my eyes now was the interview showing the word "viral" on the screen. My interview had gone viral across the whole globe and every news channel in the States was talking about it-about me.
I was trending and the whole world knew my secret. I was a Princess who lived in hiding all of my life until today. Was this a bad thing?
"Are you okay dear?"
"No, I'm not okay! How is this happening? I can't believe this!"
"I'm sorry I didn't prepare you for this moment. To be honest, I didn't think it would happen so soon. We're dealing with it but things will go as planned. We've reached out to the people who you did have in your life and they have agreed on NDA's. The focus points in the interview where you were alone without friends will actually help because all of those bogus claims of people having relations with you or being your best friend are false. Everything will be okay, Aurora."
She left my room where I was lost in thought. The whole world knows. I was everywhere on the internet. My whole life was written in words right in front of me.
I watched every video I could find which was a lot. The thank-you notes were going to have to wait now because I had another priority.
Charles walked in while I was having a panic attack. He rushed to my side and I didn't even know if he knew what was going on. I felt safer being in his arms. My future was still so unknown and because of my "outing" as a Princess to the world, I don't know what my fate would be.
"Oh no..." Charles was watching the television now completely understanding why I was freaking out. "Aurora, how did this happen?"
"I-I don't know! I've gone viral!"
"Yeah, I see that! What are we going to do?"
"What else can we do except continue to live our lives."
"At least you're not still in the States. That would've been horrible." I nodded in agreement. He's right. This is the better situation we're facing right now. He sighed shaking his head. "Are you okay?" I shrugged my shoulders because I wasn't sure if I was or not.
