Hello! I didn't know what to name this chapter so just go along with it! Most of these chapters like I have said before don't have titles. I come up with them as I edit and then post the chapter. I hope you like this one! See y'all on Wednesday!-expressionwriter

I watched Aurora sleep until Joe returned. I wondered how we got to this point. She's been here slightly over a month now. It's crazy how bad things got for her and us, I guess.

"How is she?" Joe asked in a whisper.

"She ate an entire plate of food. Now she is resting. She hates me. I hate me."

"I think she's just scared of the unknown. She tried taking a way out and it didn't work because she doesn't realize what you'll do to protect her, even if it's from herself. Show her the young boy she used to play with. I know Aurora will come around."

Aurora stirred in her sleep. Now I really wondered if she was actually asleep or if she was pretending. I left the room again waiting out in the hallway. Eventually, I found myself asleep.

When I woke up there was a blanket covering my body and a snack inside a container. My first thought was who the hell gave me a blanket and food? My second thought was how long was I out for?

I knocked on Aurora's door but she didn't answer. A guard walked by informing me she was not in her room. I ate the food left for me as I walked through the halls trying to find Aurora.

As far as I know, I'm one of the very few people who know the truth about what happened to her. She's continued her dates with the other princes in my absence. But I was back and ready to continue dating Aurora. That is if she'll still have me. I have the Queen's welcome but not hers, yet at least.

I found her sitting in the library reading a book. She looked normal as she sat there. I debated if I should walk up to her or give her space. We have all the time in the world to make up so I continued walking around the castle.

"Charles?" Queen Delilah greeted. I turned around to give her my attention. "You can have any room in the castle that you want or the room you stayed in at the other castle."

"Thank you, your Majesty. I plan on going back to the room in the other castle. Are you telling me this because I was sleeping in the hallway?"

"Indeed I am. Aurora asked me why you were in the hallway and I didn't know what to tell her. She gave you the blanket and the food. Maybe she cares more than you think?"

"Possibly." I turned around and made my way back to Aurora. Hopefully, she'll hear me out. "Hey, can we talk?"

"I'm reading." She answered. "So no."

"Rory, please. I need to talk to you." I pleaded with her to hear me out but I'm afraid she wasn't going to have it. "When will you be ready to talk to me? I know you're hurting and I want to help ease that. Please Aurora?"

"You're right. I am hurting. The one person I thought I could talk to hurt me. You don't understand what I've gone through!"

"Yeah, I don't! Because you won't even talk to me or open up about your struggles. How am I supposed to be there for you when I don't even know who you are? I don't know what you're going through Rory. All I ask is that you tell me. Show me. I am trying so hard right now. Please?"

She was crying at this point. I felt like I went wrong somewhere and hurt her again. She said something but it was muffled by her cries that I couldn't understand her. Then she ran away back to her room. I groaned at my defeat.

The next morning I woke up to a text. We'll talk later today. But I knew she may back out. Getting her to talk is as easy as giving a cat a bath.
