Just a few more weeks of school and then I'll only have two semesters left! It has been a very long journey but it's definitely worth it! The chapter after this is the birthday party! I honestly don't know if it will be up by Sunday or not because I am going home on Friday for Thanksgiving break. We'll see how the posting goes when I am no longer in my own space and at my parents. I hope you enjoy this chapter!-expressionwriter
Charles Point of View:
Joe, Aurora, and I rode in the limousine as it made its way to the news station where Aurora would have her interview with Sasha Perrywinkle. I held her hand as we got closer and closer. She was so nervous. I didn't really understand why and I was too afraid to ask.
She could break down any minute. I was doing my best to avoid that. Before we had left, the Queen instructed Aurora to change into her dress once we arrived so she was wearing a different outfit at the moment.
When I walked into the room earlier I couldn't help but let my mouth drop. She had looked absolutely stunning and beautiful. Our wedding day will be amazing.
As we walked into the news station we could see the chaos that took place. Everyone was shouting and running everywhere. I looked at Aurora who seemed to be calm and collected at the moment. But looks can be deceiving, especially with her.
They showed Aurora her room where she'll be getting ready. I walked around more to get a feel of everything going on. It was cool to see behind the scenes what takes place.
I stayed back so I wasn't in the way of things. Aurora was now sitting at the desk with Sasha in front of the camera. I was so proud of her. She'll tell her story and upbringing and then we could go home.
"Good evening! I'm Sasha Perrywinkle and today we have a very special guest! Ladies and gentleman, the one and only Princess Aurora of Para!" Sasha greeted the audience. "How are you doing, your highness?"
"I am doing well, Sasha. How are you?"
"I'm ecstatic to have you here! This is such a treat. Now, you've spent the summer months in the castle. How has that been? We were all concerned to learn of your hospital visit."
"A huge adjustment but it's been good. I've made wonderful friends and have become closer to my grandmother who I adore so much. She has been my rock through all of this. I don't know how I would've made it without her guidance and wisdom. That hospital visit scared everyone including myself. I've done a lot of healing since then and been focusing on that."
"I wholeheartedly agree. Wonderful to hear about you and your grandmother! The big thing I want to talk about tonight is you and your life growing up. As we have learned and all come to understand, you have never lived in Para as a Princess before. What happened there?"
"Well, my parents met in college and dated for a couple of years. Then my father left the States to become King. It was around this time my mother found out she was pregnant with me. From my understanding, my parents had a very long discussion on how to proceed and they agreed that I would live with my mother in the States until it was time for me to move to Para."
"Wow. My next question is how was your relationship with your father growing up? It must have been hard without him."
"Honestly, it wasn't. My mother worked very hard to support us and my father chipped in here and there. She had sole custody of me because nobody in the States knew I was a Princess. We kept that part of my life secret from the world so I could live a normal life. My father and I would write to each other every single day. I actually learned how to read and write at a very early age because I was so determined to have that connection with him. Until that time came, my mother wrote for me or she would send a copy of her handwriting with my letter in case my father couldn't read it. We had a very good relationship even though we were thousands of miles apart. At times it was hard because I wanted nothing more than to have him here with me but I knew it was impossible. For my birthdays, he would come to the States except for my eighth birthday when I flew here to Para for the summer."
