So, It's been five years since I moved away. I've left high school now and I'm in my last year at college. I'm hoping to start University soon. As the years have gone by, George and I have got closer, we aren't dating though so please don't go getting you're hopes up. I still keep in contact with Sarah and Danielle, they're all doing fine. As for JJ, I've never spoken to him since we left. The girls never give me any information on how he's doing or what he's up too. Am I still wearing the necklace?? Yes, I promised that I would never take it off and I never have. I guess JJ's forgotten about me and the memories we had. In reality, I should move on but I can't I can never stop thinking about him.

My phone began to ring. I searched everywhere for it but couldn't find it. I searched under cushions, under my bed but it was nowhere to be found. My ringtone was playing and playing. Finally I found it in the biscuit tin, most likely where George had hidden it last night. He was always playing pranks on me.

"Hello" I answered.

"Meg, Meg, Meg can I come round please?" Asked George down the phone.

"You don't even need to ask, get down here"

I put the phone down and waited for George to arrive. I was dressed in my jeans and a jumper with my hair up in a messy bun. I was having a very lazy day, but George could always come down; he was never bothered about what I looked like. He arrived pretty quickly and rugby tackled me with a hug.

"Woah what's wrong with you, someone seems very happy"

"It's been accepted!!!" He said waving a piece of paper at me. I grabbed it and began to read.

"Dear Mr George Shelley, I am very pleased to inform you that your application for the X Factor Auditions has been accepted. Your Audition will be held in the Manchester M.E.N Arena on January 30th. Please turn up at the arena and you're audition number will be given to you, then wait for your number to be called. We wish you the best of luck and look forward to seeing you there. Yours sincerely, The X Factor Team"

I ran up to him screaming, wrapped my legs around him and gave him the biggest hug ever. I was so proud of him. He had conquered his nerves and is about to show his talent to the world. As you know, George is a really talented musician. He can play the guitar and his voice is amazing, I knew he had a talent and I couldn't let it go unnoticed. I had always wanted him to audition for the X Factor. He never had the confidence but I built it up in him. I encouraged him to participate in talent shows and showcase's of which he won. Finally, this year he gathered up the courage to audition for the X Factor. He had sailed through the previous auditions but now it was the big thing. His audition had been accepted and it was in a week's time. He would be singing in front of Tulisa, Gary, Louis and Nicole. I was so happy for him.

"I'm so proud of you Georgey" I said.

"It's all thanks to you, which is why I want you to come to the audition with me"

"I'd be delighted"

"So I want to run something past you"

"Really??"

"Yeah, what do you think about this, for my audition"

He ran downstairs and came running back up. He walked into my room with his guitar in his hand.

"Ready??" He asked.

"Ready" I replied.

He started to strum his guitar. Then he began to sing. The song he had chosen was Toxic by Britney Spears and  he sounded amazing. His voice was so strong. When he had finished I gave him a round of applause.

"What do you think?" He asked, nervously.

"Could have been better" I replied.

He looked down.

"I'm only joking, It was amazing Georgey, You had better make that your audition!!"

"Really??"

"Yes! You'll blow them away! It had better be your audition or else..."

"Or else what?" He teased.

"Or else I'll tickle you" I said running over tickling him.

He laughed and knocked me off. After staying for the rest of the day, George and I headed off to work at our local coffee shop.

For the next week, George was back and forth from my house, practicing his audition and improving. The of his audition came like the shot of a bullet. I woke up that morning and put on a pair of black, thick wooly tights, my Burgundy dress and my black coat. His car pulled up outside my house and his mum sounded the horn. I shouted goodbye to my mum and headed towards the car. Climbing in, George was sat smiling at me. I could tell that he was nervous but he didn't want too show it.

"Thankyou for coming today"

"I wouldn't miss it for the world"

We headed down the motorway and parked the car. We walked down the road to see thousands of people getting ready to audition. George's smile faded.

"I have no chance of getting through this"

"Yes you do, you're talent shines through all of these" I replied.

"Meg's right" his mum added.

His smile gradually came back on his face. We queued for hours until he finally got his number. The mood in the waiting room was tense. Everyone was practicing. George was sat with his guitar strumming along to toxic whilst humming the tune.

"Numbers 10154, 10153, 10156 and 10158 please follow me"

George suddenly looked up and looked down at his number, it was 10154, the number that had been called. He picked up his guitar and took a deep breath.

"Come on" he said.

I stood up and held his hand tightly as we walked to the stage. The engineers were fixing the sound . He spoke to Dermot and then made his way up the stairs. He looked back at me before he was about to go on stage.

"Good luck Georgey" I said.

He smiled and looked forward. I could hear the sound of the crowd.

"So are you his girlfriend then?" Dermot asked.

"Oh no, I'm just a really good friend"

"really, that's what they all say"

I laughed and turned my head to the screen. I saw George stood on the stage, his smile lighting up the whole room.

"What's your name?" Louis Asked.

"George Shelley"

"And what do you do"

"I work in a coffee shop"

"Ok, well in your own time"

He took a deep breath and started to strum his guitar. I had my fingers crossed.

"With the taste of your lips i'm on a royde...." He began.

The whole crown erupted into screams and applause. He finished the song to the sight of a standing ovation. He put his hand over his mouth, shocked. I wanted to cry.

"Absolutely amazing,  a yes from me" Gary said.

"The girls are going to love you, a yes!" Said Tulisa.

After 4 yes' George walked off stage to be bombarded by hugs from me. I felt so proud. I began to walk and turned around to see George talking to a band.

"Great job out there mate" said a muscular guy with brown hair.

"Thanks" said George.

The guy then went back to rehearsing with his band of three. I looked at them all. Then a guy turned around he had a lovely smile.

"Good luck" I said.

"Thanks babe"

I felt George grab my hand and we ran off together. We were off to celebrate.
