The next few days went quickly. I spoke to JJ on the phone every night. He was having the time of his life with the boys. Ella and George were getting closer, I really wanted to meet Ella. If she hurt George I would immediately stop liking her. Each day, I took Otea to school and picked her up, I acted like her older sister. I could tell she was missing JJ as much as I was.

It was an early morning. The autumn sunshine shone through my window, waking me up instantly. I groaned and awoke. I stood up and stretched out. Walking downstairs, I checked the post to find a letter addressed to me. I smiled, my Dad had replied, I could tell by the writing on the front of the envelope. I ran straight into the kitchen, sitting down and tearing open the letter like a little girl opens her present on Christmas morning. I carefully unfolded the letter and began to read.

"Dearest Megan, I honestly can't believe you have replied and that you want to meet me. I do hope that we can meet up sometime, we do have some very serious catching up to do. I've attached my phone number at the bottom of the letter so give me a call and we can arrange something. Your letter has put a beaming smile on my face. I honestly don't know what your worried about, I bet that you are beautiful just like your mother was. I do hope to hear from you. Dad x"

I smiled all the way through reading the letter. I can't believe that he wanted to meet me, me his own daughter. I jumped up, put the radio on and began to sing as I made myself some breakfast. I was going to meet my Dad for the first time, I couldn't believe it. JJ's Mum walked into the kitchen.

"Good Morning, someone's in a very good mood"

"I am" I smiled.

"Why, what's happened now"

I pointed to the letter on the table, she looked at me, laughed, picked the letter up and carefully began to read it. As her eyes scanned the paper, I could see the smile growing on her face. When she had finished, she opened her arms and ran towards me giving me a big Hamblett hug. I smiled and we both laughed.

"Have you put the number into your phone?" She asked

"No! oh my gosh! I have to go do that now!"

I ran upstairs, grabbing the letter. As I crossed the landing, Otea was walking out of her room.

"Good Morning" I said.

"Morning" She replied, rubbing her eyes, her hair all stuck up and messy.

I laughed and ran into my room, grabbing my phone. I punched the numbers and added the contact under the name 'Dad'. This felt surreal. I sent my first message. "Hey Dad". I put my phone down nervously and waited, checking my phone every second. JJ's mum opened the door to our room and came to sit next to me.

"Has he replied?" She asked.

As soon as she asked that, my phone started to ring. I looked and I had received a text back.

"Hey Daughter" It said. I began to smile. JJ's mum looked over my shoulder and laughed.

I then received another text from him. "So I guess it's clear that we both want to finally meet, I'm free this Wednesday if you want to meet at the coffee shop in the town centre at 2?"

I sighed. It was Wednesday tomorrow! Did I have time?.  I know what you're thinking, I wanna meet him so bad so why am I not jumping at the chance to go for a coffee with him, well, the truth is I'm scared.

"What's wrong?" Asked JJ's Mum.

"I'm scared"

"Of what?"

"I don't want to turn up and him not be there"

"He'll be there, trust me"

"But...."
