Amity p.o.v

i roll my eyes to the taller girl in front of me. "i'm not sassy." i argued, making her laugh.

"sure thing cutie. anyways, what's your next class?" Luz questioned while a smile was still plastered on her face. she's so annoying.

"why do you need to know that?" i ask while shifting my weight. her face dropped lightly but she was still in her happy mood.

"i want walk you there." i really wanted to say no. it's not that hard! don't be a push over for her!

"ugh, fine. my next class period is civics. now hurry up before the bell rings." i mention while walking past her, trying to play it off. i see her face brighten as she jogs up to walk next to me. "so, what's your next class?" i offer up, trying to at least start some conversation.

"oh! it's art!" she stated while the look of shock flashed on her face. she must've been surprised that i was the one to ask a question this time.

"isn't that on the other side of the school?" i ask while weaving through all the younger people in the halls. Luz was following not far behind. "you know you'll be tardy if you walk me to class."

"and? i don't care. the teacher is pretty chill anyways with me since she knows Eda." the tall girl next to me just shrugs her shoulders and smiling to me. "i asked you knowing fully well that i'll be late to class."

i feel my face start to lightly turn red. no Amity. you know way better than to fall for these types of words. don't listen to her, you dumbass. i play it off and scoff, beginning to speak. "well we can only hope that you don't get detention."

she laughs at what i said as we walk up to my classroom. i stop in front of the door and turn to her. "i hope you have fun in class, learning all the fun civics stuff." she jokes out as i just nod my head. she smiles at me for a second and then placed a hand on top of my head, very lightly ruffling my hair. "adiós señorita bonita." she lets go of me and turns around, walking away. i feel my face turn bright red. i should've never chosen spanish classes growing up.

my day was as normal as ever until lunch. i usually sat with Boshca and Skara but every once and a while they would go eat with Luz's little gang. because of my distaste of getting to know people i never went. today was one of those days. i sat alone at the lunch table reading my 'Good Witch Azura' book and minded my own business. i see people walking up from the corner of my eye and put my book down.

i see Skara, Boshca, and all of Luz's friends... including the tall latina herself. you have got to be kidding me. "hey!" Luz waves viciously as she had a smile plastered on her face. she sat across from me and put her tray down. she then glanced at the book i was reading. "you like the 'Good Witch Azura' series?!" i just simply nod my head.

"this is like her twentieth time reading those books." Boshca chimes in, sitting next to me. everyone else sat around us.

"no way! i grew up reading them all the time! when i was little i would call myself 'The Good Witch Luzura!'" the girl in front of me chimes, saying her own nickname in a almighty fashion. i let a snicker come out as everyone turns to look at me, pausing what they were doing. even Luz looked shocked by my laugh.

i feel my face heat up and i push it down, clearing my throat and going back to normal. "that was a stupid name." i say plainly. most of Luz's friends went back to how they were but Skara, Luz, and Boshca were stuck on that i laughed. i give them weird looks and try to play it off like nothing weird happened. i stand up and fix my uniform, then pushing in my chair.

"where you going?" Skara asked while food was shoved in her mouth.

"class. lunch ends in fifteen minutes and i need to study for my AP english quiz that's next week." i explained to her as grabbed my book from the table. i see Boshca roll her eyes and wave me off, knowing why i was actually leaving.
