A cruel Prank

Chapter 20

*Mikasa POV*

I had just woken up. It was still dark outside. I lifted my head and saw that I was lying on Eren's chest. I smiled and lied my head back down. I felt Eren put a hand around me. I heard a knock on the door and slowly got up. I opened the door, and saw Armin leaving. 

I ran and caught up with him. I hadn't run that far, but I was tired. Armin called," Hey everyone! Here's Mikasa!" Jean, Sasha and Connie came over. Armin smiled," Mikasa, we have the vaccine. You only have, what, 3 or 4 days left." 

I nodded," Yeah, let's go." Sasha moved towards me," Mikasa, hang onto me. I don't want you walking." I nodded and put my arm around her. They took me to Armin's room. I sat down at Armin's desk. Armin pulled out a needle and said," Alright Mikasa, this won't hurt." 

I nodded and Armin injected me. After he finished, Jean smirked and said," Hey guys, I have an idea! Let's prank Eren!" Sasha asked," What kind of prank?" Jean replied," Let's say that we can't find the vaccine. I wanna see what Eren does." 

I shook my head," I'm not doing that." Connie said," But that seems wrong." Jean scoffed," I don't care what you guys say. It's either, we prank Eren or, I will tell Eren that Mikasa hates him." I looked down," Fine, l-let's prank him." Armin said," Mikasa, you should go back to back to Eren. The vaccine will put you out." 

I didn't seem to listen that well. I got tired quickly. I tiredly said," I-I'm not going to be able to get to my room. I have no energy." Armin asked," Do you need someone to carry you? Or will you be okay?" I shook my head," I-I won't be able to walk myself." Jean asked," Since I'm the strongest, shall I carry Mikasa?" 

Sasha shook her head," Can anyone else carry her?" Armin answered," But Jean is the strongest out of all of us." I said," As long as I can get back to Eren, I'm fine with anything." Jean said," Well then, I guess I'm carrying Mikasa." 

Jean moved towards me and picked me up. I wrapped my arms around his neck. When we reached my room, Jean lied me down next to Eren. I smiled," Thanks guys." That's when I blacked out.

~Eren POV~

I woke up. It was quiet light outside. I looked down and saw Mikasa's head on my chest. I smiled slightly. Mikasa only had 3 days left. I tightened my grip around Mikasa. Armin hadn't found the vaccine yet. I was really worried about Mikasa. I saw Mikasa wake up. 

I smiled and kissed her forehead," Good morning Mikasa! How do you feel?" Mikasa held her head," I have a massive headache. So not so good." I lifted Mikasa up and said," I'm really sorry about all of this." Mikasa smiled," Don't worry." I heard the door open. 

I looked and saw Armin and Sasha. I sat up, with Mikasa in my arms. Armin looked down and said," E-Eren, I'm sorry but we can't find the vaccine." I exclaimed," Why!" Sasha replied," It's not possible." I shouted," Why!" 

Armin said," We need Nayomi's DNA but she left, so we can't make it." I shouted," Find a way then! Mikasa needs to live!" Mikasa stammered," E-Eren, l-let me go. I-I can't b-breathe." I let her go," I-I, uh, I'm sorry!" Mikasa said," So is there just no hope for me." 

Armin looked down, a sad look crossing his face. He said," Unfortunately no. There's no hope for you. Nayomi already left." I looked at Mikasa. I said," T-That's not possible. There's no way! You're lying!" I let Mikasa go and stormed out of her room. Where was I going? I didn't know. All I know, is that I need to get out of here.

*Mikasa POV*

I saw Eren storm out. I said," That was a mistake. Eren seems upset. Do you think Eren will still talk to me?" Armin replied," Well, he thinks you have 3 days left, so of course." I smiled. I asked," But how will we tell Eren the truth?" Sasha answered," Already thought of it. Jean will say that he made a mistake." I asked," But won't Eren be mad then?" 

Sasha replied," Jean and Eren already hate each other. Eren will be mad at all of us, but it will be fine if it's Jean." I nodded my head," A-Alright. I hope Eren isn't mad at me." Armin put a hand on my shoulder and said," He wouldn't be mad at you. You actually have no idea how worried Eren is." 

I looked down. I really hope Eren isn't mad at me. I saw Eren walk in a couple minutes later. His eyes were red. I got up and ran towards Eren. I exclaimed," Eren, are you okay!? Why are your eyes so red!?" Eren wiped his eyes," Don't worry." 

I lifted my hands to wipe his eyes. I smiled," Don't cry Eren. We're still here together." Eren turned his head," You don't understand Mikasa! In 3 days, I'm going to lose you! You don't know what that's like!" I shook my head," Calm down Eren." 

Armin asked," So Eren, what do you plan to do for the next 3 days?" Eren replied," I-I don't know. What do you want to do, Mikasa?" I answered," I just wanna hang out with everyone else. Is that fine with you?" Eren nodded his head. And the next 3 days, we just hung out with everyone else.

3 Days later

Jean said," So guys, I actually calculated the number wrong, and Mikasa is going to be okay." I looked at Eren who was silent. He said," So Mikasa is going to be okay, as in she's going to live." Jean nodded his head," Yeah, I guess." Eren looked at me and hugged me. He exclaimed," I'm so happy that you're going to live!" I smiled," Yeah, I'm happy too."
