Trigger Warning: Mentions of blood.

While cooking rice porridge, Mix sighed.
Time passed like sand slipping from in between fingers yet somehow it felt like it had never moved from it's place.
It had been a hassle, the past three days.
Earth had fallen asleep while crying on his shoulder and Mix had carefully laid him back to rest.
He had cooked breakfast and had tried feeding Earth, when he woke up two hours later, but he couldn't stomach much.
Seeing Earth like this, Mix didn't have the heart to eat as well.
Heck, how would he eat when Earth hadn't.
Off had informed Mix that they've prepared for the funeral and that they needed to arrive at the cemetery two blocks away from the aforementioned hospital, by nine thirty in the morning.
He knocked at Earth's bedroom door,
"Earth, get ready, I've talked with dad. We need to head out before nine thirty."
He had heard the muffled sound of water running from the tap. Mix wanted to knock again but he decided otherwise and had slipped away.
He had come down in ten minutes and was too distant to take note that Mix had taken his car keys from the key holder.
Mix had contacted Win that he'd pick up him and Bright in the way. A dead silence had hung in the car as Earth had gazed out of the window.
The only talking was done by Mix and Win when he'd picked the other couple up. Bright's eyes were swollen and Red rimmed. He hadn't spoken a word during the whole ride.
It was actually bonkers when they had arrived at the said place. It was a private funeral, only a collective amount of people would come, Off and Gun had said.
But, at the gate, there were tons of paparazzi and reporters with cameras and microphones being shoved into their faces, constantly being asked what were they feeling like and how did this happen.
There was no place to step foot between the hoards of them but Mix, as if he was a knight in Black suit, had placed one hand on Earth's back and had drawn the other in front of him like a shield as he had made way through the sea of people.
Win, holding Bright's hand, closely followed behind them.
The flash was almost blinding, Mix wouldn't lie.
Since there were guards at the gate, no one else besides them could pass.
And due to there only being close family and friends of Bright, Earth and their mother's, the funeral was very short.
*
Earth had settled down by the fresh soiled grave, following Bright as he could hear the crunching of grass, indicating people were walking away.
There was only him and Bright now, "Had you gotten a call or dialed where mom worked, asking why she'd left?"
Earth asked after a long moment, "Win did. He told me that the staff there said that she was very excited to come back. That she missed her children and wanted to be there for them as one of them was going through a hard time."
