The last time he'd taken a bus would be the last year of high school.
Things felt familiar and nostalgic.
An old or a middle aged man sat at the drivers seat, not taking much of a notice if the next person ascending was a civilian or not.
The seats with foam that felt soft and comfortable when you first sat down on them but half an hour later it got so stiff that your buttocks would start going numb.
The windows, due to Autumn, were closed otherwise they'd be open. Letting cool air in.
He sat at the second last seat on the right hand of the bus, gazing out the window.
Mix had pushed him to the window seat although he tried negotiating but it was of no use.
He ended up drifting away into his conscience once he looked outside.
Pondering the questions of what ifs about White.
But something snapped him out of his reverie as he looked at his left.
Mix had apparently fallen asleep and his head was dangling, thus touching Earth's shoulder.
Thankfully there weren't many people in the bus to witness that he'd feel embarrassed or awkward about it.
Earth lifted his right hand to steady Mix but halted midway.
He didn't know why he hesitated.
Was it because of the question Mix had asked earlier?
Or did he still have something left for White in his heart?
The bus came to a halt and the driver announced that they've reached the last stop.
Earth looked out, it was their neighbourhood.
He had turned to wake Mix up but upon turning his head he found that Mix was already standing.
He looked like he was about to fall asleep while standing. He rubbed his face and eyes while sighing out.
Mix shoved his hands in his pant pockets as he asked, "Are you gonna stay here?"
And all Earth could do was get up slowly while shaking his head slightly. Not meeting Mix's eyes, he said, "Coming,"
Mix started walking towards the door as Earth followed but slowly. Before he got down the bus, he looked at that seat one last time.
And then saw Mix rubbing his neck as he was on the foot path now, the sound of the door of the bus closing behind him rang in his ears but went unnoticed by him.
"Let's go, I'm really tired now."
And while walking back to their house, he kept thinking about this. One step behind Mix so that he wouldn't see his face.
He might regret not putting Mix's head on his shoulder.
Or maybe was.

The next morning, he'd woken up late on a Saturday. He saw that breakfast was waiting for him on the table, covered.
