I stood beside my dad at the altar. I was his best man. Today he and Ari were getting married in Los Angeles. Kaylee and I were back in New York a week ago. Since we've got back she's not been herself. She's been acting weird and nervous around me. I kept on asking her what was bothering her but she kept on telling me that she was okay. I knew that she was lying to me. I didn't like when anyone lied to me. Her mother, Terri, was also at the wedding. I met her and she's a nice lady. I also met Ari's younger brother, Leon, who was also Kaylee's cousin. He said that he and his girlfriend were big fans of my music. I saw a few more of their female cousins who were screaming when they saw me. That was the last thing that I wanted because I didn't want to put the attention and focus on myself. I wanted it to be on Ari and my dad. Today was their day. It was a small ceremony which consisted of close friends and relatives. Kaylee was Ari's maid of honor.
The decoration at the church looked superb and everything was well put together. I watched as Ari walked down the aisle in her beautiful white wedding gown. She looked lovely. I couldn't say otherwise. I looked at my dad and he looked happy. Everyone stood and watched as Ari walked to the altar.
The minister spoke and everyone took their seats. They said their vows to each other as they gazed into each other's eyes. I looked at Kaylee. She had a troubled look on her face. When she caught me looking at her, she started to smile at me but I knew that she was worried about something. I smiled back at her.
"Do you Jonathan James Adams, take Arivana Hannah Van Gotthard to be your lawful wedded wife? To have and to hold? In sickness and health? Until death do you part?" The minister asked my father.
"I do." My dad replied.
"Do you Arivana Hannah Van Gotthard, take Jonathan James Adams to be your lawful wedded husband? To have and to hold? In sickness and in health? Until death do you part?" The minister asked Ari.
"I do," Ari replied, smiling at my dad.
They exchanged rings and the minister pronounced them husband and wife. They kissed each other. Kaylee and I wished them all the best.

We were at my dad's house that he had in LA for the reception. That's where Ari said that she wanted it to be held. I took a glass of champagne from the waiter. They were lots of food but I wasn't feeling hungry."Corey, have you seen Jonathan?" Ari asked me.
"No, I haven't seen him," I replied to her as I drank my champagne.
"Okay, thanks, Corey."
"You're welcome. Listen, Ari, I know that we didn't get off on the right foot at first but I just want to say congratulations again and welcome to the family." I told her. I didn't like her when I first met her but now I saw that she really cared for my father.
"Aww. Thank you so much, Corey. It means so much to me." She replied to me as we hugged each other.
"Most welcome," I said to her. We stood there talking with each other until Kaylee's mother Terri joined us.

I was looking around for Kaylee but I didn't see her. Her mother was also looking for her. My cell phone rang. I saw Jackson's name come up on the screen."Jackson, what's up man?"
"Triger, there's a picture of you and Kaylee on the front of People Magazine," Jackson told me.
"I'm not surprised, not in the least," I said to him.
"They're speculating that maybe you two are dating. They also said that they didn't know that you were into white girls. They know that she's your manager." Jackson said laughing.
"Let them speculate all they want. I like keeping them wondering."
"That's the thing. Let them always have something to say. How was the wedding man?" He asked me.
"It was good, man. I should be back by tomorrow." I replied to him as my eyes scanned the dance floor.
"Great. Will see you then."
"Yes, Man, and thanks for keeping me posted," I said to him.
"Anytime man." He replied.
I hung up my phone and put it inside of my jacket pocket.

One of Ari's cousins asked me for a dance. I wasn't in the mood to dance but I didn't want to turn her down so I told her yes. I danced with her until the song finished playing. I saw Ari dancing with her brother Gerrald. While I was heading through the door this lady bumped into me and her champagne spilled all over my jacket. She told me a million sorry. I assured her that was okay and she didn't have to worry about it. I went upstairs because I wanted to change my jacket and see if Kaylee was up there. What would she be doing up here all by herself? I didn't know. Maybe she was laying down or something.
I went to the bathroom and washed my hands and then changed my shirt in one of the guest bedrooms. I was on my way downstairs when I heard whispering coming from my dad's den. One of the voices sounded like Kaylee's. The door was ajar. I walked up to the door and the whispering stopped when they heard my footsteps approaching. I stood at the door and I saw him talking on his cell phone.
"Son, do you need something?" He asked me curtly.
"No. Thought I heard Kaylee's voice inside here." I briefly retorted to him.
"You're not hearing clearly, son. Now, what would Kaylee be doing up here?"
"I don't know dad! You tell me!" I yelled at him. He was getting me so damn upset.
"Son, you need to relax. I'm in here all by myself. If you'll excuse me I'm on a business call." He replied to me.
"It's always about business for you dad. Ari is down at the reception looking for you."
"Why would Ari be looking for me? I'm not lost. It's always about money for me, son. Tell Ari that I'll be down in a few." He told me.
I didn't reply to him. I just looked around his den and walked out. I didn't even close the door on my way out. Something seemed fishy with him. He was my father but deep down I didn't trust him.
I went back downstairs to the reception. I went outside and stood at the poolside staring at the blue clear water. I felt two slender hands caressing my shoulders. I knew that it was Kaylee. I turned around to see her grinning at me.
"Where have you been Corey? I was looking for you." She asked me.
"I was upstairs changing my jacket. I was looking for you as well. Where were you?" I replied as I pulled her closer to me. She wrapped her hands at the back of my neck. I held her around her waist. Our foreheads were resting against each other. I just couldn't get enough of this woman.
"I wasn't feeling well so I was upstairs taking a nap in one of the guest rooms. I wanted to tell you earlier but I didn't see you." She replied to me.
"Okay. What happened?" I asked her. I was concerned about her.
"I had a slight headache. I guess I just had too much to drink but I'm feeling better now that I'm here with the man who had made my panties wet all day." She whispered in my ear.
I was blushing."Are you sure that you're okay Kaylee?" I asked her again.
"I'm fine darling."
"Did I really make those panties wet all day?" I asked her in a throaty voice.
"Yes, you did Corey. Let's get out of here." She replied.
"Before we leave, have you seen your mom? She was looking for you."
"Yes, I did. She said that she's spending the night here with Ari and your dad."
"Okay, beautiful. Let's get outta here." I suggested to her. She nodded her head at me and laced her fingers into mine as I pushed the door open.
