"Kaylee, have you told Corey as yet?" My mom asked.

I quickly stuffed the keys into my purse. I was on my way out when my mother called. I was going over to Monica's aunt's house to get some information about her. I don't know anything much about her. I found out that she was very close friends with that scumbag.

"No, mom. I didn't get a chance to do it as yet."

"Honey, you need to tell him as soon as possible and then go to the cops afterward. I already got a lawyer for you. He said that you could get off without doing any time in prison seeing as you were blackmailed by that asshole."

"Thanks, mom. He's performing at a live concert in Amsterdam tomorrow. I wanted to tell him before he left but I didn't get the chance to. I'm going to tell him first thing when he comes back next week." I told her.

I quickly grabbed my notepad and pen to write down all the information that I will get about Monica.

I told her aunt that I was a reporter. One of my friends from college, Jesse, gave me Monica's aunt's contact information. Jesse was the one who referred Monica to Ari when Ari was looking for a housekeeper.

"Okay, Kaylee. How was your Thanksgiving?"

"It was good. Listen, mom, I'm on my way out. I'll call you back when I get home."

"Okay, be careful." She said to me.

"I will, mom. I love you." I hung up and put my phone in my purse.

I shut the door and went into my car.

Four hours later.

I rang the doorbell as I looked around the yard. The place was very beautiful.

"Hi, you must be the reporter, Lydia Spectra. Come on in." She was tall with short grey hair and brown skin. She had dark brown eyes. She was a beautiful lady.

I stepped inside as she closed the door behind me. "Yes, I am. We spoke over the phone. It's nice to meet you, Ms. Moss." I said as I shook her hand.

"The pleasure is all mine, Ms. Spectra. Have a seat. Can I get you anything?"

I sat down on the white sofa inside her living room. "No, thanks. Ms. Moss, I'm good."

"You can call me Sally." She said as she sat down on the sofa opposite where I was sitting.

I smiled as I looked at her. "So, Sally, what can you tell me about your niece, Monica," I asked as I took out the notepad from my purse.

"Well, the Monica that I remembered was a very troubled teenager. She was always getting herself into trouble with the law. When she was thirteen, she went on a school field trip. A little boy said that she pushed him down and broke both of his feet. Monica said that it was a lie. Nothing came from it because all the kids who were there said that they never say Monica pushed him." She told me while pouring herself a glass of wine.

"Oh, wow. What happened to her parents?" I asked as I heard a text message come in on my phone. It was a message from Corey.

"My brother and his wife, Julia, perished in a house fire when Monica was seventeen. She was the only one who escaped the fire. I got full custody of her but she and my daughter, Melonie, couldn't get along. One day they both argued and she stabbed Melonie with a pair of scissors on her arm. I grounded her for one whole month. One night while I was asleep, she ran away with her half-brother. I haven't seen or heard from her since."

"She had a half-brother?" I asked as I removed the lock of hair that had fallen on my face.

"Yes, he was Julia's first child. She had him with her first husband. I only met him once when he was about twenty-one years old. My brother never liked him because he thought the boy was a bad influence on Monica. Julia's younger sister speculated that Monica and the boy burned the house down but the police never found any evidence that proved it was arson."

I was in complete shock. "What's the name of her brother?"

"I don't remember his name. It's been such a long time. There's a picture of him and Monica together in Monica's old room. I can get it for you." She told me while getting up.

"Sure, I'd really love to see it," I said to her.

She came back with the picture and showed it to me. I was speechless. I put my hand over my mouth as I stared at it with my eyes wide open because I couldn't believe it. It was that scumbag. He and Monica were brother and sister.

"Ms. Spectra, are you okay?" I heard Sally asking me.

"Yes, I'm fine. Sally, would you mind if I used my cell phone to take a picture of it? It would be good for the story that I'm doing." I quickly took my phone from my purse.

She nodded at me. "Of course, you can."

I snapped a picture of it and closed my phone.

I looked at the clock on the wall. It was getting late. I need to get going now. "Sally, thank you so much. I appreciate all the information that you provided to me today. I'm going to leave now. Take very good care of yourself." I said to her as I took up my purse which was on the sofa beside me.

"You're welcome, Ms. Spectra. I'm always willing to help. I'll show you out." She came and opened the door for me.

I walked off the porch and went into my car. I still couldn't believe all the things that Sally told me. I'm going to prison and Monica and that scumbag will be going, also. They're not going to get away with killing Ari, attempting to kill my mom and Corey.

Monica's pov***

I sat in my car and watched that lil bitch, Kaylee, as she came out of aunt Sally's house. She didn't see me. I also saw her at the restaurant yesterday watching me and my brother. I never gave the letter to her. I read the letter and told my brother everything. Ari played him and I'm not sorry that he had his men killed her. She deserved it.

I've been watching and following Kaylee ever since I saw her yesterday watching me and my brother. I took up my phone and called him.

"Yes, Monica."

"You need to get rid of that lil bitch, Kaylee. She's going to cause trouble. She's sticking her nose where it doesn't belong."

"I can't do that now, Monica. She's our meal ticket, remember."

"I thought that she had already stolen enough money from Triger for you," I said to him as I started my car.

"Money is never enough, lil sis. When I'm done with that spoilt brat, Triger, I want him to be broke and homeless."

"Well, do you remember my aunt Sally?" I asked, impatiently.

"Yes, I remembered that lousy nosy bitch."

"Well, I just saw Kaylee leaving her house a few minutes ago."

"What the fuck was she doing there?"

"I don't know," I responded, impatiently, as I stopped my car.

"Don't worry about it. I'll take care of her."

"Okay." I hang up and put my phone down.
