Ever since Terri called me and told me that Kaylee was arrested for murder; I haven't been myself. I felt as if I failed the woman that I loved. My flight was delayed but I got home two days after that. She had already gotten bailed but she was acting distant. She said that she had something to tell me tonight. I'm wondering what it is. I knew that Kaylee was innocent. She would never hurt a fly, especially not her cousin, Ari. She loved and adored her.

My father also reached out to me and Kaylee. He has been supportive of her. I was shocked because he never wanted Kaylee to be my manager. He said that he didn't trust her. He thought that she was up to something but I never listened to him. I apologized for punching him and he apologized for what he said about mom. He knew that I loved my mom more than anything else in this world. Even though she's dead.

There was also a big scandal hanging over my career. Some false bullshit information was given to the press. Saying that Ari was pregnant with my child and that's why Kaylee killed Ari.
That was a complete lie. My album sales have dropped ever since that rumor started circulating. We didn't know who started it. They said they receive an anonymous call. My management team called a press conference and I cleared my name. I told them that it was all a lie and I wasn't sleeping with my father's wife. I also made it clear that Kaylee didn't kill Ari. I wanted Kaylee to be there with me but she said that she didn't have the courage to face the press.

My dad told me that he found out that Ari was cheating and he confronted her about it but she denied it. He said that he knew that it was not me that she was hooking up with.

I tried calling Kaylee's phone multiple times but she didn't pick up. I know that she was not doing well. This had tarnished her reputation. I was at the studio recording. I need to finish up and go over to her place. I missed her so much and I wanted to be there for her.

"Triger, I'm going to leave now. Is there anything that you would like me to do before I go?" Jackson said to me.

"Nah, man. I'm good."

"I'll see you in the morning then."

"Cool," I said to him.

I was wrapping things up to leave the studio when I received an email notification from one of my banks regarding a lot of money that has been taken from my bank account. I quickly logged in and checked my bank account. Over one hundred million dollars was drawn out. I was extremely furious. Kaylee was my manager and my girlfriend so she was the one who was managing my money. I trusted her with my life. I can't believe that she stole from me. I'm going to confront her about this tonight.

Kaylee's pov***

I put on my black yoga pants, my black hooded sweat shirt, and my black sneakers. I was going for a walk before I went over to Corey's house. I wanted to clear my head. It was after five in the evening. I felt relief that I was out of jail. I spent almost three weeks inside that hell hole. I needed to clear my name but how. I refuse to go to prison for something that I didn't do. I knew that someone was inside my apartment that morning. They put Ari's bracelet in my drawer. I suspected that scumbag was behind it. How did they break in and I didn't hear them? I don't know.

I saw my neighbor, Benny, walking his dog.

"Kaylee, I heard what happened. I'm so sorry." He said to me.

"Thanks, Benny." I smiled at him. He was a very good neighbor. He was always looking out for me and the other neighbors.

"Kaylee, a few weeks ago, I saw a lady coming out of your apartment. You weren't there at the time. You were at work. I asked her what she was doing inside there and she said that you sent her for your phone because you had forgotten it. I wanted to tell you but I had forgotten." Benny said to me.

I was astonished to hear that. "Whoever that woman is, she was lying. The only persons that I permit to go into my apartment if I'm not there are my mom, Corey, and my now deceased cousin, Ari."

"I know. That's why I became suspicious."

"What did she look like?" I asked.

"She was tall, light-skinned with brown eyes and she was wearing a black pullover."

I knew who that was. "Thank you so much."

"You're welcome, Kaylee. Have a nice evening."

"Thanks and same to you." I patted his dog's head and ran back to my apartment.

I texted Jesse and tell her to text me Monica's address. I was going to pay her a visit. I couldn't visit that scumbag's house because he lived in a gated community. She and that bastard framed me for Ari's death. I grabbed my car keys off the counter and headed through the door. Two minutes later, Jesse texted me the address.

My cell phone rang while I was putting on my seatbelt.

"Hi, mom."

"Hi, honey. How are you doing?"

"I'm not doing good, mom. I might go to prison for something that I didn't do."

"I know, honey, and I'm sorry. I wish that there was something more that I could do. I don't think that you're going to go to prison. You have one of the best lawyers in the country." She said, trying to cheer me up.

"I know that, mom. You've done enough and I'm grateful for you. How are you?" I asked.

"I'm doing fine. I'm worried about you. Where are you? It sounds like you're driving."

"I'm on my way over to Monica's house. I'm going to see if I can find any evidence that will link her to Ari's murder. I think that she and her brother had someone murder Ari and then they framed me. My neighbor said that he saw Monica leaving my apartment a few weeks ago. She planted Ari's bracelet inside my drawer. I also think that they're the ones who gave the detectives that false information and told the press that Corey and Ari were having an affair."

"What! Kaylee, please don't go over to her house. They're both very dangerous. Go to the police and let them handle it." I knew that my mom was worried.

"Mom, the cops are not going to believe me and besides, I don't have any evidence."

"Please be careful. I don't want to lose you too." Her voice was shaky.

"I'll be careful, mom. I'm almost there. I'll call you when I get home. I love you."

"Okay, honey. I love you more." She hung up and I closed my phone screen and put it down beside me.

I parked my car across the street and put on my dark shades. I'm going to knock on the door and see if she was home first before I tried to break-in.

I walked up to her porch and banged on her door.

"Monica, it's Kaylee! I need to talk to you. Are you inside there?!"

I heard no reply. I continued to bang on the door and yelled but still, no reply came from her.

I looked to see if anyone was watching me. I didn't see anyone. I went to the back of the house and picked up a large rock. I threw it and smashed the window. I quickly climbed through the window. She was not there. The place was empty. I had to search the place quickly and leave before she comes and catches me inside here.
