My performances in the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos Islands were fantastic. The crowd loved it as usual. My mind was on Kaylee and her mother. Terri was in a coma for one week now. I told Kaylee to take some time off but she said that she wanted to work because that helped her to take her mind off things. I sat backstage with Jackson and the crew after my first performance in the Turks and Caicos Islands. I was physically and mentally preparing myself for my next performance.
---------------------------
Two days later I was back home with everyone. Kaylee started acting strange again. A month ago, she was the one who wanted to get laid in my studio even if we weren't alone and now, I couldn't even touch her even if we were alone. I just couldn't understand women. I was done recording at the studio for the day and I just needed a drink. I told the producer Prince Jay and Kaylee that I was going home. I got home and went upstairs to my bedroom. I took off my clothes and went to take a shower. I went into the bathroom, slide the glass door open, and stepped inside the shower. I turned on the water and ran my hands over my face as my mind wandered back on Kaylee. I didn't see much of her today. It's like she was avoiding me every chance that she got. I took a quick shower and dried my body with the white towel. I just remember that I had to perform at a nightclub out of town. I got dressed and stood before the mirror looking at myself. My cell phone rang snapping me out of my thoughts."Kaylee, how are you baby?" I asked her while walking out of my Master bedroom.
"I'm not feeling well Corey. I'm just calling to remind you of your gig at club Retro tonight."
"I remember beautiful but thank you for reminding me. I'm sorry to know that you're not feeling good. What's wrong?"
I heard her take a deep breath before answering me.
"I just hate to see my mom laying on that hospital bed, Corey. I just want her to wake up out of the coma. I just want her back." She replied to me. I could hear her voice cracking up.
"Baby, I'm so sorry. Do you want to come over to my place after I leave the club?" I asked her.
"No, I'll be fine. I just want you to enjoy the rest of your night. I'm going to leave the hospital now. You can call me when you get home."
"Thanks, beautiful. I don't want you to worry baby. Your mom is going to pull through." I assured her.
"You're welcome, Corey. I'm hoping that she does. Can you send me a picture of your outfit? I'm sorry that I'm not there to help you get dress."
I smiled. She was also my stylist. She was a very good fashionista. "That's all good baby. I'll send you the picture right away. Have you heard anything more from the cops?"
"Thanks, Corey. No, all they said was that someone tried to run her off the road."
"I'm wondering who the hell would want to hurt her. Did they say if it was a drunk driver or what?" I asked her because something just didn't make sense. She took a few seconds before answering me.
"I don't know Corey. All they said to me was that someone tried to run her off the road." I could hear her voice cracking up again and it broke my heart.
"Baby, I wish that I could take your pain away. Are you sure that you do not want to spend the night with me?"
"I'm sure Corey. I'll be okay. I'm going into the elevator now so call me when you're home or when you're through performing."
"I'll do that beautiful. Take care of yourself. Love you."
"Okay, darling. Bye."
I closed my phone screen and adjusted my Rolex Sky-Dweller around my left wrist. I opened the door and step outside. I saw my driver Michael waiting on me in the black Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG. I opened the car door and sat on the back seat.
