Oh shit! I found nothing in that thot's apartment that proved that she killed Ari or that she knew who did it. I searched the place but nothing. I was going to leave when I remember that I didn't search all of the bedrooms. I went back into one of the guest's bedrooms and checked the drawers one at a time. I dug through them as quickly as my hands allowed me to. I was getting frustrated that's when I found them. I saw two plain white envelopes. They had Ari's handwriting on them. One had my name on it and the other one had Jonathan's name.
How the hell did she end up with these? I had no time to read the one that had my name on it. I better get out of here before she comes and catches me. I forcefully shoved them inside the pocket of my pullover. Hopefully, one of these letters had something about Ari's murder. I wanted to search the other guest rooms but time wasn't on my side. I've been inside here for almost thirty minutes.
I quickly climbed out through the broken window and swiftly exited her apartment. I hurried inside my car and sped off.

Two hours later..I arrived home and put my phone on charge because the battery had died. I saw missed calls from mom, Corey, and Jesse. Corey left a voice message on my phone stating that he wanted to talk to me about something very important and that I should come over to the studio asap. I didn't think much of it because I was going to see him but we did agree to meet at his place. I didn't know why he wanted me to meet him at the studio. I shrugged. I texted mom and Jesse and told them that I was okay. I also told them about the two letters that I found over at Monica's apartment.
I took a shower and got dressed. I felt my heart pounding a bit. Tonight I was going to tell him everything. I know that he's going to be upset but I can't go on like this. When I get home, I was going to read the letter that Ari wrote me and then I'm going to give Jonathan his. I looked at myself in the mirror as I grabbed my purse and cell phone.

"Corey, I'm here, baby," I said as I pushed open his office door.He was sitting on a chair with his back turned to the door. I went and gently touched his shoulder.
"Is everything okay, Corey?" I inquired.
He didn't reply to me instead he glared at me with an angry frown on his face. That's when I knew that something was wrong. He got up and flung the chair at the wall. I was so frightened. I've never seen him like this before. He knew.
"Corey, I can explai-" I whispered.
He cut me off before I could finish what I was saying. "What's there to explain, Kaylee, huh?! Why have you been stealing from me?! I gave you everything that you want and you've been stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from!" He yelled at me. "My bank notified me of all the money that you stole from my accounts! Dad was right! Your just another brainless twit who only cares about the dollar, dollar bill!" He tucked his hands inside his pockets and stared down at me.
"Baby, I was blackmailed. I had to do it or else he was going to kill my mom. I did agree to do it in the beginning because I had just lost my job and I was broke. I needed the money. He said that he'd pay me to do it. All I had to do was seduce you and make you fall for me. He also said that he was going to make your former manager disappear. It was after that I realized that he had killed her because he wanted me to be your manager so that I could steal your money. He said that you were a spoilt ungrateful rich kid who didn't appreciate what he did for you. I believed him but when I met you at the engagement party, I realized that you were a nice person and you didn't deserve it. That's why I left my phone inside the bedroom and moved out of town. The bastard found out where my mom lived and had his men break into her house. He sent a picture to my email with one of his men holding a gun to mom's head. I'll never forget the fear that I saw in her eyes that day. I was going to tell you everything tonight. I wanted to tell you when you came back from Amsterdam but I was in jail. That's why I got mom out of California. He also had his men try to run mom's car off the road. He also sent them to rape me one night I was opening my door. Luckily, my neighbor, Benny, heard me scream and came to my rescue." My voice was croaky as I spilled everything to Corey.
He was calm as he asked me, "Who is he?"
My voice was quavering as I told him that scumbag's name.
He had a bewildered look on his face as it sunk into his brain.
He shook his head in disbelief, "why would he do that to me?" He questioned in a soft tone.
"He said that you owed him and you're ungrateful," I replied as I looked away.
"Did you ever sleep with my father?" He asked.
I shook my head as I replied to him. "No, I never did."
"So, what were you doing in his den at the reception? I heard your voice whispering in there when I was coming from the guest bedroom."
"He offered me a check of one hundred thousand dollars and told me to leave you alone. He said that I was a gold digger who was after your money. He also said he suspected that me and that scumbag were up to something and he didn't trust us. When we heard your footsteps coming, he told me to exit through the door at the side." My throat was getting dry.
He was silent as he gave me a penetrating stare.
"I also think that he and his sister, Monica had Ari killed," I stated.
"Killed Ari? Why would they kill Ari? Monica is not his sister." He uttered.
"Yes, Corey. He's Monica's half-brother.
I spoke with Monica's aunt before I was arrested and she showed me this picture." I opened the gallery on my phone and showed him the picture of Monica and that scumbag together. "I became suspicious because I saw him and Monica at the restaurant having lunch together. I think that he killed Ari because she confronted him about what he was doing to us. I did tell Ari everything. Today I broke into Monica's apartment and found two letters in one of the bedroom drawers. One had my name on it and the other one had Jonathan's name on it. They were from Ari. Monica broke into my apartment and planted Ari's necklace in my bedroom drawer. They framed me."He looked at it but he didn't say anything to me.
"Did you sleep with him while we were together, Kaylee?"
I didn't respond to him.
"I asked you a question, Kaylee! Answer me dammit!" He screamed at me as he slammed his fists on the desk.
"Yes, It was one time." I stuttered as the words came from my mouth. "I only slept with him because he told me that if I did, he would leave me, you, and mom alone. I believed that he would but he deceived me." I continued to speak softly, "I used to date him when I was in college but I broke it off because I found out that he was also dating Ari."
He didn't speak or look at me. I felt so dirty and ashamed.
"Corey, I'm sorry. If you want to press charges against me, I'll understand." I muttered.
"When you told me that you love me, was that a lie too?"
"No, Corey. It was not a lie." I replied to him. "I fell in love with you, the first time that I looked into your eyes."
He frowned at me. "I don't believe you."
"It's the truth, baby. We can work together and take that scumbag down. Make him pay for what he did to us." I gently touched his arm.
He shoved my hand away and scowled at me. "There's no we, Kaylee. I'm done with you. Get the fuck out of my sight. You're no longer my manager." He said in a hushed tone.
"Baby, please. I love you, Corey. I can't live without you. Please forgive me." I pleaded with him as I tried to hug him around his neck.
He grabbed me by the shoulders and slammed me against the wall and snarled at me. "I said, get out of my sight before I do something now that I'll regret later! I thought that you were the one but you're just another deceitful bitch! You hoes ain't never loyal!"
My entire body was quivering. I was so stunned and frightened by Corey's reaction. It was the first time that I was seeing him like this. I knew that I really did hurt the man that I loved.
He let go of me and I saw sadness in his eyes. He gave me one final glance and stormed out of his office.
My life was over. I lost the love of my life and I was going to spend the rest of my life in prison. I used the palm of my hands to cover my face as I broke down in tears.
