Yesterday, I saw those detectives standing on Kaylee's doorstep. Let's see her take the fall for her cousin's murder. She wanted to stick her nose into other people's business, instead of minding her own.
"Tell my brother that I'm here to see him," I said to the bitch who was his secretary. She's been rolling her damn eyes at me ever since I got here.
"He's in a meeting, ma'am." She said, still rolling her eyes at me.
"I don't care if he's in a meeting or not! Tell him that I'm here to see him!" I yelled and shoved the files off her desk. They landed on the floor.
Her hands were trembling as she picked up the telephone at her desk and dialed the extension to his office. "Sir, your sister is here to see you. Yes, sir. I already told her that. Okay, sir."
"You may go in." She muttered as she looked down at the files on the floor.
"Thank you, bitch. That's what you get for trying my patience." I said, kicking some of the files that were lying on the floor as she stooped down and pick them up.
I went into his office and saw him standing at his desk. He was on a conference call. I sat on the recliner and waited until he was finished.
"I don't like that bitch," I said in an assertive tone. "I don't care if you're sleeping with her or not. She needs to be respectful to me." I ranted.
"I'm sorry, sis. I'll talk to her. Did you do what I tell you to do?"
"I did. I thought that you were going to have her killed."
"Monica, I already told you that's not happening." He replied angrily. "She has to take the fall for Arivana's murder, or do you have a better idea?"
I gave a nonchalant shrug. "I don't."
"Then that's settled." He said while pouring himself a drink.
I looked at him and rolled my eyes. That's not what I wanted, I wanted Kaylee Van Gotthard dead.

Kaylee's pov
My love was coming home today. I couldn't wait to see him. I was feeling excited about it. Maybe because I was going to tell him everything and get it off my chest. I opened my eyes and blinked as the bright sunlight beamed through my bedroom window. I swore I heard footsteps in the hallway. I slowly got up and looked but I saw no one or nothing. That was weird. I went and took a long warm bath.
My doorbell rang while I was doing my makeup. It was Jesse at the door. She was one of my friends from college.
I opened the door and we hugged each other.
"Hey, Jesse. Have a seat. Would you like a cup of coffee?"
"Sure, Kaylee. I can't believe that they killed Ari."
"I can't believe it, either. Excuse me. Let me go and make the coffee."
"Okay." She nodded.
I went inside the kitchen and made two cups of coffee. I came into the living room and gave one cup to her.
"Thanks. Do they know who did it?" She asked as she took the steaming hot cup of coffee from my hand.
I shook my head. "They don't. They said that eyewitnesses told them that I was arguing with Ari before she was killed." I slowly swiped my coffee and continued to speak. "They also said that the autopsy report confirmed that Ari was pregnant and based on the information that they got from sources, she was carrying Corey's baby. Ari was not pregnant for Corey and Ari and I never argued."
"I didn't know that Ari was pregnant. That's absurd to say that she was pregnant with Corey's child. Who the hell gave them that false information?"
"I don't know but what I do know is, someone is trying to frame me and I know who it is," I told her. "When Monica was your sister's housekeeper, did you see anything weird happening?" I asked.
"No, we never had a problem with her. A few times my sister started missing her jewelry and then my brother had some money in the house which went missing. He couldn't find it."
I had a surprised expression on my face. "Did you guys ever find out who stole them?"
"No, we didn't. When my sister asked Monica about it, she said that she saw my cousin with the jewelry. My cousin denied it."
"Okay. Why did she leave?" I asked.
"She said that she was moving down south with her brother."
I nodded. "Okay."
"Do you think that she had something to do with Ari's death?"
"Yes, I do," I responded to her. "I'm just sorry that I can't prove it."
She nodded at me.
I took the cup from her and carried it to the kitchen. I heard my doorbell ring as I walked out of the kitchen. I went and answered the door. What the hell do these people want from me? I thought. Detective Charles, Detective Stable, and a few other officers stood at my door.
"Ms. Van Gotthard, we have a warrant to search your property." Detective Charles said.
"Let me see it." He gave it to me and I snatched it from him. It was a search warrant. I read what it says and shoved it back to him.
"Why do you want to search my house?! I have nothing in here!" I squealed as I felt Jesse hugging me around my shoulders.
They didn't reply to me.
I ran my hands through my hair in frustration as I saw the officers searching my apartment.
"Kaylee, don't worry about it. They're not going to find anything." Jesse comforted me.
I nodded at her.
"Please take your time with that!" I yelled at the officer who took up my crystal vase. It was a present from my grandmother who died seven years ago.
"Sorry, ma'am." He said to me.
Jesse was saying something to me but I didn't hear her because I was watching them carefully.
"Kaylee Van Gotthard, you're under arrest for the murder of Arivana Adams. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say or do can be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney, if you can't afford one, one will be provided to you by the state." Detective Stable said as she handcuffed me.
"You're making a big mistake! I didn't kill my cousin! I would never hurt Ari! I loved her!" I screamed at them.
"What's Mrs. Adams's necklace doing in your drawer?" Detective Charles asked.
"I don't know! Someone must have put it there! Someone's trying to frame me!" I yelled as I looked at Ari's bloody diamond necklace inside the clear transparent bag that one of the cops was holding.
I gave Jesse my mom's number and told her to call her.
"Kaylee, I'm going to call her immediately," Jesse assured me.
I nodded at her. This was my worst nightmare. I thought as they dragged me out of my living room.
