"That was a great concert, Triger, I really liked your performance." I heard one female fan say to Corey. I stood there watching as he signed autographs and interacted with them. I couldn't help but notice the groupies who were constantly flirting with him. Corey had just finished performing at a concert in London. We were there for two days and will be flying back to the US tomorrow morning.

"Thank you all. I really appreciate you supporting my music." Corey replied to them. The paparazzi were there taking photos of him. I saw one of the groupies trying to hug him but one of his bodyguards, Andrew, quickly backed her off. Corey called me and I went to stand beside him. I didn't like living under the spotlight but He was my artiste so I had to support him all the way. Corey hugged me around my waist and I looked at him and smiled as the press took pictures of us. I hated the flashing lights. I was so tired and I wanted this night to end.

An hour later, we were back at the hotel. We went inside the elevator which took us up to our rooms. We were staying in separate rooms because that was what I wanted. I stood before Corey and hugged him around his neck. "Your performance was incredible. I'm so proud of you." I told him.

"Thanks, beautiful. Did you like it?" He asked me.

"I loved it. I was amazed at how packed the venue was." I told him.

"I know that it would be. The fans can't get enough of Triger and you're doing an awesome job, Kaylee. I can't thank you enough." Corey replied to me as he played in my hair.

"You don't have to thank me, baby. I'm doing my job. Remember I promised you that I was going to keep you on top." I told him.

He nodded his head at me."I know and I appreciate you so much."

I smiled at him. The elevator stopped and we got out. We hugged each other and I told him good night. Corey took my keycard from me and opened the door. We went inside and I turned on the lights.

"I'm feeling so exhausted, Kaylee, so I'm going to bed. Goodnight and sweet dreams. See you in the morning." Corey said to me as he gave me the keycard and a peck on my cheek.

"Sweet dreams Corey," I whispered to him. He smiled at me and winked his left eye at me. I blew him a kiss. He went out and closed the door. I went and locked the door.

I wanted to call my mom but I was feeling so tired so I'll just call her in the morning. I stripped out of my clothing and went into the shower to take a long warm bath. My body needed it. My muscles were so sore and tense. I fell in love with Corey the first time that I laid eyes on him at my cousin's engagement party. It has been two months now since I became his manager. I was carrying a lot of secrets and I didn't know what to do. Sometimes I felt suicidal but I was so afraid of dying. It was one of my biggest fears in life and I didn't want to die and leave my mother and Ari. They were the only relatives that I was close to. If Corey ever found out the things that I did, he would never forgive me. I wanted to tell Corey everything but I can't because my mother's life depended on what I was doing.

I got out of the shower and dried my hair and my body. I tied a robe around my body and went to lay on the bed. It felt so comfortable and relaxing. I heard my phone indicating that I had a text message. I got up and checked it. I read the message and smiled. It was from Corey telling me that he missed me. I texted him back telling him that I missed him too. Immediately after that, I got another text message, this one was from Ari. She said that she was spending the night with my mother because Jonathan was away on business. I texted her and told her that I was fine and I asked her how was mom doing. I wasn't feeling hungry but I was so unhappy with the mess that I got myself into. I was deep in thoughts when my phone rang. I took it up and answered it. The number was unknown.

"Hello." My voice was low because I was scared. I knew who it was.

"Bitch, I'm not waiting any longer. I want you to get your hands on Corey's finances asap! We had a deal! Now I'm keeping my end of the bargain and you better keep yours!"

"I'll get the money over to you when I get back from England. I swear." I said. My voice was trembling and my hands were shaking.

"You better because I'm not playing with you. You know what I'm capable of, Kaylee. If you don't do what you were employed to do then you'll be sorry! Do you think that you're just there to fuck him and took pictures with him for the press?! This time you will see more than a photo of a gun pointing at her head!"

Before I could say a word the line disconnected.

I was shaking like a leaf and my heart was pounding in my stomach. I had to do it because I couldn't let him hurt mom. I had no choice. I wanted to cry but I didn't know-how. I put my phone on the bedside table and sat on the bed. I didn't want to sleep anymore and I just wish that I could disappear and take my mom with me but I couldn't. That's why I went ghost on Corey last year when I just met him because I couldn't do it but he found my mom and threatened to have her killed. I had to do whatever he wanted because I had to protect my mom's life.
