Emily woke up first, stretching her back out after sleeping in an awkward position, careful not to move her hand as JJ's was still holding it.

Her eyes moved to the heart rate monitor, and she smiled a little watching the steady beats. She never thought looking at a heart rate monitor could make her so happy.

"What you smiling at?" JJ murmured sleepily, looking at Emily.

"Life." She replied simply.

JJ frowned a little , and Emily couldn't help but think how cute she looked confused.

"What?" Emily laughed.

"You... you don't make sense. No sense. 0 sensico." JJ said.

"Or perhaps it's because you're high as a kite right now, that you're saying words like sensico." Emily said, raising an eyebrow.

"I like flying kites." JJ remarked with a giggle. "And sensico is a word. You can look it up in the...the... the word book thingy."

"You mean the dictionary?" Emily asked.

"That's the baby boy. Yes." JJ replied.

"I've never flown a kite, you know." Emily remarked.

"Whaaaaaaaaat!" She said, shocked.

"You know JJ, the team are nearly here to see you. Which means you get to meet Dereks girlfriend." Emily told her.

"Oooooh Dereks girlfriend." JJ said, closing her eyes and laying back, just as the team started to come through the door. Then JJ sat up. "Wait, no. Dereks girlfriend can't come in yet."

Aisha hesitated at the door, as the team looked at JJ in confusion.

"Emily." She hissed, summoning her forwards with one finger. "Emily, Emily. Emilyyyyyyy."

"Yes?" Emily said.

"You need to buy me a medal. To give to Dereks girlfriend. For putting up with Derek for 3 whole months. Three! Can you imagine? I couldn't put up with Derek for 3 months. You couldn't. Nobody can do that." JJ paused, and gasped. "She's an imposter! Everyone hide!" And she threw herself under the blanket.

"JJ, I can hear you, you know." Derek laughed.

JJ's poked her head up above the blanket, and shook it. "Mmmm no, no you can't. I whispered." She informed him.

"You did not whisper I can assure you of that." Derek chuckled.

"Derek! You're too loud!" She said, speaking at the same volume as him. "The walls have ears..."

At that moment, Hotch, who had quickly dipped out the room, came back in. "Sorry guys, we have a case."

"Hotchy! You can't go yet!" JJ said. "You have to give me a smile first."

Hotch looked at her, raised an eyebrow, and gave her a brief smile. She gasped.

"He can do it!"

The rest of the team left the room, chuckling.

"I assume you'll be staying here?" Hotch said to Emily.

"If that's alright." She said.

"Of course." Hotch said, then followed the others out the room.

"That." Rossi remarked. "Is going to be quite the high to come down from."

"Indeed." Hotch agreed. "Nice to see her smiling again however. And at least she'll have Prentiss."

"Hmm." Rossi said.

"What?" Hotch asked.

"Just wondering if they'll finally realise they have feelings for each other." Rossi said.
