Ace was so focused on what he was doing, he didn't notice Lexie move... until a chair was brought smashing down on his head.

His forehead sliced open, and blood started pouring, but he stayed standing.

He staggered over to her, and shoved her. She flew back into a wall, and he approached again.

Slightly winded, laying on the floor, Lexie raised her foot and kicked him straight in the groin. He doubled over in pain, so she punched him in the throat, and he fell down fully.

She jumped up and ran to JJ, quickly untying her.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean it, it was the only way I could get untied and -" She started rambling immediately.

"No no no, it's okay. It's okay. You were amazing." JJ said, tears still in her eyes as she hugged her niece.

"Are you okay? He didn't..." Lexie started.

"No sweetheart, no. You stopped him." JJ said. "I'm okay. And what about you?" She asked, stepping back and holding Lexie at arms length to examine for any injuries. There would be bruises, but she looked okay.

"I have to call the team, we know there's at least three of them-" JJ began, looking in her pocket for her phone.

"JJ. They're all here. Everyone's here." Lexie said.

JJ stopped what she was doing, and looked up.

"What do you mean?"

"It's more than 3. And they've caught the whole team." Lexie replied urgently.

JJ was looking at her blankly for a few more seconds, then her expression hardened.

"Okay. Okay, you find somewhere to hide, and you stay there." JJ began, before searching Ace for any weapons. She came out with a knife.

"No, you cannot do this by yourself you are ridiculously outnumbered, let me help-" Lexie pleaded.

"Absolutely not, I am not getting you killed." JJ said firmly.

"I'm sorry did you miss the part where I just fought a grown man and won?" Lexie said, indicating at Ace.

"And what about when they have a gun, what then?" JJ snapped.

"I could say the same about you! What good is a knife in a gunfight?"

"I am a trained agent." JJ hissed, fearing they were getting too loud. Her expression softened. "I'll be okay, I promise."

Lexie shook her head. "You can't promise that. But I do have an idea."

"Lexie come on, we've just talked about this." JJ said, exasperated.

"I can help and still be in hiding. You must have some sort of headset and ear piece, right?" Lexie asked.

JJ nodded yes. "The room the other side of this glass."

"Let's go then."

JJ still looked hesitant.

"Come on, I can hardly hide in here. I'm going to have to move." Lexie said, and JJ conceded. They both went into the room next door, and JJ fished about in a drawer.

"Put the earpiece in. The room I was in before was Garcia's office, and it had a load of cameras on in every room. I can tell you what's going on." Lexie explained.

JJ was very aware of the room being the other side of the bullpen.

"Be careful." She said.

"You too." Lexie replied.
