It had been about 10 hours since they'd landed in Idaho, and the girls were almost ready to go undercover.

JJ was the first to be ready, wearing a tight, red bandeau dress and heels, her hair curled and resting on her shoulders.

Emily emerged a few moments later, dressed in a dark blue V neck dress with a silver necklace and hoop earrings.

"Can you do me up?" Emily asked JJ, turning round.

"Uhhh yeah sure, course." JJ replied, glad Emily couldn't see her face right now. She did the zip up, unintentionally looking Emily up and down, looking at how well the dress showed her figure. "You look great." She finally managed to say.

"What can I say, it's my favourite serial killer attracting dress." Emily joked.

"Got a whole section in your wardrobe for it have you?" JJ asked, starting to walk towards the conference room.

"What, you haven't?" Emily replied, and both women chuckled again.

JJ turned to see Emily looking at her. "What?" She asked.

"Oh nothing. Reds your colour, is all." Emily said.

"Least if the serial killer gets me, the blood won't ruin the colour of the dress." JJ answered, with another laugh.

"Would you two stop joking about that, please? Garcia said on the screen. "I worry."

"Sorry Penelope. We'll be fine darling, don't panic." Emily promised.

"We'll be back for a proper girls night soon." JJ added.

"Where's Elle?" Hotch asked.

"I'll go get her." Spencer said, causing Derek and JJ to exchange a look.

Spencer walked down the hallway, not exactly sure why he'd volunteered himself for this, after trying so hard to avoid her.

He opened the only door still closed, to see Elle only half dressed. "Woah- I, I'm sorry I'm sorry!" He said, backing out the room, covering his eyes.

"Don't panic Spencer, as you so nicely pointed out, you've seen it all before anyway." Elle answered, pulling the top she was wearing over her head. "I'm done now."

Spencer walked into the room again. "They're waiting for you. You ready?"

"Almost. Chuck me that mascara, would you?" She asked. He grabbed it and handed it to her, and waited in silence for a moment while she applied it, before blurting.

"Why did you do it, Elle?"

"Do what?" She asked, her mouth slightly open as she put the mascara on.

"Cut all contact! To leave the BAU is one thing, but to just disappear off the face of the planet?"

"I almost died!" Elle shouted back.

"What does that have to do with anything!" He answered.

"I was in my house, Spence, and I was shot! My safe place wasn't safe anymore! I would find myself just staring at the wall, where he literally wrote in my blood, and I just couldn't do it anymore, okay?" She said.

"So move house! But still, why cut all contact? I was falling in love with you Elle and-"

"Was?" She interrupted quietly.

"It's been 5 years, Elle, I-"

"So what do you feel now, Spencer?"

"Towards you? Nothing." He said, his voice cold.
