1 month later...
"Elle. Elle, wake up." Spencer said, shaking her.
Elle opened her eyes quickly and sat up. "You okay? What's going on?" She asked.
"It's midnight." Spencer said, waving his digital clock in the air.
"Oh marvellous. I'm so pleased to hear that." Elle said sarcastically. "And so glad I'm awake to witness it."
"Oh shut up." Spencer said whacking her with a cushion. "No, what I mean is that means it's now October 1st."
Elle frowned in confusion for a second, then realisation appeared on her face. "Really? You're waking me up at 12am for a one month anniversary?"
"Yes, that is exactly what I'm doing. Now come on, get up." Spencer grabbed her hand and pulled her to her feet.
There was a hoodie and a pair of fluffy socks set out at the foot of the bed, which she gratefully pulled on, and then let Spencer lead her downstairs into the living room, his hands covering her eyes.
He'd set up a projector and laid down blankets and pillows on the floor, and illuminated the whole room with fairy lights.
Elle gasped, smiled, and kissed him.
"Come on, there's brownies to make first." He said, and they moved into the kitchen, which was lit by candles, with all the stuff laid out to make brownies.
Elle turned the radio on, and together they started baking.
Quickly, Elle learned it wasn't Spencer's greatest skill.
"Elle, isn't it supposed to be a bit thicker than this?" He asked, confused.
Elle turned around from chopping up a chocolate bar to see what he'd done. She danced over, singing to the song playing, and gave it a stir.
"Spence how much flour is in here?" She asked.
"12 teaspoons, like it says." He said, pointing at the recipe.
"That's tablespoons you fool." She giggled, walking over to grab the flour to add some more.
"Oh shut upppp." He said, following her.
Elle turned around, accidentally right into his face, and the bag of flour slipped from her grasp as they collided.
It fell to the floor, and exploded up in a cloud of flour that coated them both.
Elle shook it out of her hair, and it went all over Spencer's face, who proceeded to grab more flour from the bag and throw it in her face.
"Oh it's so on." She said, taking the bag and running round to the other side of the kitchen island.
"That's not fair, you can't take the bag!" He exclaimed.
"What you gonna do about it, pretty boy?" Elle challenged, with a glint in her eye.
Spencer shook his head, and ran towards her. She screamed, throwing flour at him and starting to run round the island.
Spender chased her for a few laps, then climbed up onto the island. "Where you gonna go now?" He said triumphantly.
She scooped up more flour from the island and threw it up towards him.
He took the opportunity to grab the bag, and chucked it to the side, before jumping down himself and grabbing her arms, pushing her back against a wall and pinning them above her head with one hand. He moved his face close to hers, then pulled it back quickly and emptied more flour over her head, jumping back onto the island and singing to the song, doubled over in laughter.
