Warning the Others

After waiting until the noise was gone. "We have to get back to camp." I said standing up. I felt a hand grab mine and yank me down. It was Finn.

"They still might be out there." He hissed.

"If they are, then we're dead anyway." I stood up. "Come on, we have to warn the others."

They all followed as we ran through the forest they same way we came. As we ran the forest seemed to get more eerie. Shadows loomed making me fear that it was the people who threw the spear.

I heard a grunt and thud behind me, and I turned to see Monty had tripped. "Come on! We got to go!" Finn said grabbing him.

I looked at the ground and saw what he had tripped over. Skeletons. Bones. They were human. I bit my cheek. "Who are they?" Finn asked. I didn't know if he was talking about the skeletons or the people who did this.

I watched as Clark bent down and picked up something round. A skull. But it was no average skull, no it was deformed with a huge brow line and wide eyes. "What are they?" Clarke asked.

"We are so screwed." Octavia said. I had a feeling she was right.

Just then we heard a loud, blood curdling yell of pain. I recognized it as Jasper. "Jasper, He's alive." Clarke said dropping the skull. She ran off, but I grabbed her arm.

"Clarke, wait. Wait!" I said running after her. Finally before she could do anything dangerous, I grabbed her. "Stay out of the trees"

We looked across the river, to where we last saw Jasper. He wasn't there. "He was right there." Monty said. "No, where is he?"

"They took him." I said feeling my heart beat viciously against my chest. "We have to go! Now!"

I stood up grabbing Clarke and yanking her away, the others soon followed. We ran for about two miles, and then finally stopped to a brisk walk. "We can't stop." I said as Monty slowed down. I knew he was upset. Jasper was his best friend. "I know, Monty." I put my hand on is shoulder. "But he's still alive, once we get back to camp, we'll round up some others and go find him."

He gave me a puppy stare. "Really?" He asked.

"I will not rest until we find him." I promised. He gave me a smile, and we kept walking.

As we approached camp, I heard the noises of the others. They were chanting something. As we got closer I could make it out. "Fight, fight fight."

"Oh no," I thought thinking about Wells.

I took off towards the chanting. "Echo!" Clarke and Octavia yelled after me, but I didn't stop. I burst through the clearing and saw Wells, and Murphy swinging at each other with knives.

"Wells," I mumbled. I couldn't let him get hurt. I ran down and pushed Murphy out of the way, and then grabbed Wells' knife. Murphy stood up shocked to see me, but he quickly shook it off and then went at me. I parred him quickly. I swiped at him and nearly missed his arm. He then sliced at me, and did get me in the arm.

I hissed in pain, but I quickly regained posture and grabbed his arm just as he went in again. I flipped him over me and then yanked him up putting my knife to his throat while knocking his knife away.

"Echo!" I heard my name called. I looked up to see Clarke burst through the clearing. "Let him go!"

"He brought this on himself." I yelled. "If he were in my position he wouldn't let go, he would kill me."

"Your not him. Your better than him." She said.

"Please, Echo, for me." Wells said.

I angrily pushed Murphy away from me knocking him to the ground. Murphy stood up grasping his knife about to get me, I raised my knife about to protect myself, when Bellamy came out of no where and grabbed him. "Whoa, hey!" he said. "Enough, Murphy." Murphy glowered at me before stalking off.
