Darkness was all around me, but even though my vision wasn't working the rest of my senses were. "CLARKE, come quick," Someone yelled.
Footsteps ran up to where I was and I heard a a gasp. "Oh my god, Echo" it was Clarke.
The sound of her voice made my memory start to whir. I felt my soul begin to separate from my body, and soon the voices of my friends were gone, the pain was gone, and the darkness started to come clear.
I covered my eyes and once my eyes got accustomed to the light I opened them. Looking around, and gasped
I was sitting in my room on the Ark flipping the pages of my doctors manual. Dr. Abby had given it to me a couple of days ago for me to study and go over before I started my training with her and Jackson.
Right now I was studying the different bones. "Pelvis, humorous." I said scanning the picture of the bones. Sadly bones were the easiest part, soon I would have to learn muscles. "Ugh" I groaned throwing back my head.
Knocking on the door awoke me from my daze. "Come in" I hugged loudly.
The door opened and I turned my head to see Clarke and Wells peak their heads in. "Hi guys," I said sitting up. "I'm sorry I can't come out, but my parents insist that it is time for me to start my doctor training." I lifted up the big book and showed it to them.
"We know," Clarke said walking in and taking a seat next to me on my bed.
"We've come to help you study." Wells said finishing Clarke's sentence. He shut the door behind him and took a seat on my chair. "The doctors exam is hard, and yeah we know you're smart, but you still need help cause if I get hurt I'll want a doctor who knows what she's doing."
"Ha ha, Wells," Younger me said sarcastically. "Here" I thrust the big book at Wells, "Quiz me in the bones,"
"Ooo, bones, I'm good at those, lets race to see who can name them first." Clarke jumped excitably on the bed.
"You're on Griffen." I smirked at my younger counterpart, Clarke.
The memory then began to vanish. "No!" Real me said watching as my good memory disappeared before my eyes. Darkness and pain soon came back.
"Echo?" It was Finn. "Clarke, I think she's awake." His voice was kinda muffled by the sounds of wind and rain. A storm must be brewing.
I pried my eyes open, and peered up to see Clarke look down at me in concern. "Echo, don't worry, Raven is contacting the Ark now. I'll get my mom to coach me through this. You'll be okay." She said cupping my face. "Do you need anything?"
"Sumac." I breathed out.
Clarke looked at me confused and then looked up with realization dawning on her. "Someone fetch me boiled water and some poison sumac." She yelled.
I shut my eyes once more going back to my darkness domain. And just like before the sounds and pain of the real world disappeared, and my vision started coming back.
This time I was on the engineering deck sitting on a lab bench watching my parents work diligently on their work. "Echo sweetheart, can you pass me the wrench." My mother said.
I watched as my tiny hands grabbed a hammer and handed it to her. I giggled softly to myself because I thought me giving her a hammer instead of a wrench was the funniest thing in the world.
My mom looked up from her work and gave me a smile. Instead of her giving back she pretend to tighten the nut using the hammer. I let out a bigger giggle. "Mommy, that's not a wrench." I said taking the hammer. It took both hands because I was still super tiny. once it was back in the toolbox I grabbed the wrench and handed to my mom. "This is what you use." I said.
