"Bella?" She turns to look at me. "The vet called, the kitten is healthy, but she does need a few shots." She grins before thanking me and leaving. Truth be told it made me a bit sad when she refused to have lunch with me but I was glad she was making friends.

Looking over her numbers and what she crunched i realize she's right. "How did I miss that?" I run my fingers through my hair with a huff. I have nothing left for her to do because she finished this months work last night. This puts me in a brighter mood than I was in this morning when I got here. "She's fucking amazing." I stand from behind my desk and make my way across the hall. As I raise my hand to knock I hear the voices inside inside her office. "He's definitely good looking. He knows he is." That's Natacha. "If he swung this way I'd definitely taste him." There's Jorge. What In gods name were they talking about? I knock on the door then make my way inside. Six pairs of eyes fall on me, cheeks turning red by the second.

"Good afternoon." I greet them before turning to look at Bella, she looked so beautiful today. "You three are free to leave after lunch today." Natacha's mouth drops but she quickly regains her composure. "Are you sure sir?" Jorges hungry eyes stare at me. "I am." I turn and exit the room. Once I'm back in the safety of my own office I take a deep breath and let out an airy laugh. "Were they talking about me?" The thought escapes my mouth making me wonder.

Its around 6:30pm when I finally leave the office. I was pulled into meetings back to back after lunch. My good mood making it easy to sit through hours of endless talking. When I get home I head into my room only to find it empty. "Bella?" Her muffled voice floats down the hall and I find her inside the guest room. "What are you doing in here?" She looks at me from over her shoulder before turning her attention back to whatever she's doing. "Well all of my stuff is in here along with Binx." She points over at the kitten. "I'd figured I'd sleep in here, if that's okay with you." She turns around with a small smile.

"Oh... Um I guess that's fine." She doesn't want to sleep with me anymore. My feeling are hurt but I don't blame her, I've been acting like an ass since last night. She gives me a tight hug before turning around and finishing her task. I leave the room and head into my own, making sure I shut the door.

Scrolling through my contacts I pause at a name I haven't been able to look at for almost two years, Krystal. My finger hovers over her name before I decide against it and scroll to find my sisters name. I press call and grin when she answers on the first ring. "What's up little brother?"

I can see the disappointment in Kai's eyes as he exits my room. I hope I didn't come off as ungrateful because that's the last thing I want him to think. He's just been acting weird all day after we just spent almost a week together.
Binx makes herself comfy on my feet, she curls up into a little ball and falls asleep. Bending over I grab the small cat and bring her over to my new bed. "Enjoy the princess life Binx." She yawns before getting comfortable once again.

I walk into the closet and look around at all the new clothes and shoes. A week ago I didn't think I deserved any of this, much less a clean place to lay my head. Being around Kairo has made this so much easier, he's constantly reminding me I'm beautiful or that I deserve to be treated with kindness. Thinking about it makes me realize that Kai deserves to be pampered back. Granted he can afford what ever he wants, I know it needs to be a heartfelt gift. Something that screams 'thank you' without the extra fluff.

I grab my laptop from my purse and make myself comfortable on the bed. I scroll through the internet trying to find the perfect thing for us to do. An add for a drive in movie pops up so I click on it. It says that tonight only,  they'll be showing the movie, 'GREASE'. "This is it!" I book two tickets and happily go look for Kairo. "Kai?" He's nowhere to be found in the main parts of the apartment so I head back towards his room. The door is closed so I knock before poking my head inside. "I love you too." He hangs up the phone and looks over at me.

"Everything okay?" He rises as I make my way over to him. "You, me and the drive in tonight around 9." He raises an eyebrow as he waits for more information. "I'm making dinner for us so don't come out of this room until I say." He opens his mouth to object but I'm already out the door. I look through the fridge and frown at the lack of ingredients. Pulling out my phone i call Jorge. "Don't hate me but I need a favor."

30 minutes later there's a knock on the door and I quickly rush to open it. "This is your place?" Jorge compliments as he drags the bags inside. "No.. not exactly." I realize he and Chacha don't know that I'm living with our boss. "Well I got everything you asked, shrimp, red onions, paprika.. you get the picture." I thank him a thousand times over before promising that we will go get drinks on Friday.

It's around 8:30 when I call Kairo out of his room. I give him a blindfold before leading him to the kitchen. He takes a seat at the counter and I place his plate in front of him. "On three okay? One, two, three!" He removes the blindfold and sniffs the air before opening his eyes. "It smells amazing." He grins at me. "It's shrimp soufflé and grilled corn on the cob." I watch as he takes his fork and dips it inside the soufflé. I wait in anticipation as he takes his first bite, chewing slow on purpose. "Well?" I lean over the counter awaiting his response. "Where did you learn to cook like this? It's even better than the soufflé at E's place." A wide smile covers my face. "Are you serious?" The beautiful man nods before taking another bite.

I dip my fork into the flakey dough and taste my work. "Ugh your right. This is fucking amazing." He chokes on his food so I quickly grab him a glass of lemonade. "Sorry." I squeak as he clears his throat. "Were you doubting your skills?" He wiggles his eyebrows at me. "Well I haven't cooked like this in about two years. I didn't have too." Kairo nods but doesn't ask anything else. My past is a bit of a touchy subject for him I see. I check the time and notice we're definitely going to be late to the movie. "Bella you never answered my question." Kairo is staring at me as he nibbles on his corn. "My mother taught me before she passed." I haven't spoken about my mother in almost five years.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to pry." Kai reaches for my hand. "It's fine really, it feels good to talk about her." He smiles softly before nodding. "So tell me more about this mother of yours." His reaction making me feel comfortable enough to spill everything that's been on my mind. I think I'm gonna like it here..

Bella's mom passed from a freak accident in case anyone was wondering! I hope you guys like the story! Do you think it was fair of her to want to sleep in the guest room?
