When freedom strikes

Bella hasn't came back yet, it's been a week. She's never been gone this long. I try to call her again but it doesn't go through, none of my messages go through either. I groan in frustration before punching the wall. Pacing our apartment I decide to go down to the last place her phone pinged.

I'm in downtown new York standing in front of the DiSco hotel. I head inside and pull up a picture of Bella. "Have you seen this woman?" The receptionist look at the picture before looking up at me. "No sir the last time she was here was about a week ago." Anger surges through my body but something tells me she's around here somewhere. I'm gonna find her and she's gonna regret ever leaving me.

My alarm jolts me out of bed. I shut it off and turn over, reaching for Bella. I frown when I don't feel her beside me, she fell asleep in here after we came home from the drive in. I get up and walk down the hallway into the kitchen. The balcony doors are open so I make my way over only to find Bella and Binx enjoying the morning sun. "Goodmorning." She jumps and I realize she didn't know I was right here. "Jesus, ever heard of announcing yourself?" She laughs as she stands, Binx in her hands. "I'm sorry." I rub the back of my neck out of habit. "Bella listen." She frowns as she looks at me. "About yesterday... I was a dick, I'm worried that you won't be able to handle being around me.."

Worry covers her face so she sets the cat down allowing her to roam the house. "What do you mean?" I sigh and lead her to the couch. "My last girlfriend, she had a psychotic break while we were together. I can't help but think it was my fault. I didn't tell her when I would leave for trips and I would make her seem crazy during our fights..." I look everywhere but at her. I don't wanna see the disgust that may be on her face.

"Kai..." her voice soft. "Why would you treat her like that?" Her face doesn't hold any judgment and for some reason it makes me tell her everything. "I was still thinking like a child, I wasn't ready for the realness of it all. She loved me so much and it scared me Bella. I didn't know how to accept it and that's where I fucked up. That's why I tell you, you deserve to be treated like a queen. Taken out, listened too, respected." She smiles at me but there's a sadness in her eyes. "You learned from your mistakes. You can't take it back now but always remember it."

Her words make me feel better but I still feel so shitty. "Kai..." my eyes connect with hers, there's emotion there but I can't tell what. "Kiss me." My body reacts before I process what she says to me. My lips crash into hers and a whimper escapes her as we move in sync. She falls back against the couch and I make sure not to put all my weight on her as I hover over her. She pulls my face down and kisses me again, this time it's more urgent.

Her hands slip under my shirt and I break the kiss as she yanks it off of me. Her hands run across my back giving me goosebumps. "Bella.." my voice is hoarse and my breathing is heavy. "Shh." Her lips find my own, they feel so soft as we melt into one another. Before I know it my pants along with hers are off and I'm positioning myself at her entrance. I slide inside of her, closing my eyes at how good she felt wrapped around me.

She moans in my ear sending me over the edge. I slam into her again and again loving the feeling of her underneath me. "Bella.." I can't even finish my sentence as I feel her contract around me. Her nails rake down my back causing me to groan. "Kai I'm gonna come." Her voice barely above a whisper. Her body arches against mine and that's enough for me to release myself inside of her. Bella's arms wrap around me pulling me against her as she rides out her high. We lay together for a while before I remind her about work.

"Shit I'm late." She attempts to push me off of her. I laugh as I look down at her, "I'm the boss remember?" Her angelic face full of embarrassment. I push her curls out of her face enjoying being wrapped around her. "Kairo.." she whines as she wiggles against me. "You might not wanna do that.." she raises an eyebrow. "Unless you wanna be here on this couch for the rest of the day." Her hands fly over her face and I let out a throaty laugh before getting off of her. I look around for my pants but they seem to have grown a pair of legs. "Binx." Bella shouts with a laugh. She bends over giving me a full view of her and I have to say I enjoyed it. "Here are your pants." She tosses them at me without looking.

"I'll be ready in 30." She disappears with Binx into the guest room. I watch as she walks away, her but jiggling nicely as she she rounds the corner. "Oh man." I run my hand over my face before going into my room to take a quick shower. Once I'm done I choose my favorite red Givenchy suit along with some black Ferragamo loafers. I grab a new black button up and my favorite silver chain.

I'm in the kitchen making Bella and myself smoothies when she appears. She's wearing a black skin tight dress that has lace mesh around her stomach, exposing her beautiful dark skin. "Woah. You look amazing." She compliments me before I can beat her to the punch. "You're one to talk." She looks down at her outfit with a smile. "I'm going out with Jorge and Natacha for drinks after work." Jealousy fills my heart for a second but I don't act on it, she needs to hang out with her friends. "You want to come?" Her question shocks me. "Are you sure?" She shrugs. "Why not? We're already showing up to work together." I think about her offer as I hand her the smoothie I just made her.

"Sure." Her smile so wide I think her face is gonna snap into two. "Come on boss." She grabs my hand and leads me out of the apartment and into the elevator. I look down at our hands intertwined feeling nervous. I don't want to do this wrong, I want her to get the very best me I can give her. I have to be careful this time...

Well they did the do.. In only a week too!? What a turn of events. Hope you guys are still here loving the book!
