Chapter 20

Killua had spent ten days in the hospital 'recovering', although he was honestly probably well enough to go home by the fifth. He paused. Did I just call aunt mito's house home? Killua thought on that for a moment. I guess it is now. The only person who stayed with him for more than an hour was Gon, who came as soon as visiting hours were open at 8:00 AM. He took one break for lunch and then didn't leave until he was told to, which was usually at 7:00 PM. He was brought all sorts of sweets and chocolates, which were nice. His body hurt a little less and he kept his wall down most of the time.

It was 8:05 and Gon wasn't there yet when a doctor he'd never seen before walked into the room. He tensed slightly, then the male doctor paused in the middle of the room with a smile. "Ah, sorry. If I do anything that makes you uncomfortable do tell me" He bit his lip, then nodded a little. Where's Gon... "So, my name is Doctor Wek. I've heard about you and your uh... 'special conditions' " He frowned slightly. "W-What's that mean?" He mumbled. The doctor smiled. "Your phobias and other strange details, I've been informed of them by the other doctor who comes here" He kind of liked Doctor Yuin, he was kind just like Gon and always backed off when he saw him get uneasy or scared. Killua grabbed Luka off of the bed and put her in his lap, then kept an eye on the doctor as he slowly walked forward and sat down at the edge of his bed. It was hard for Killua to trust, especially in a place he wasn't familiar with and didn't have Gon to reassure him. But...the only person here who'd ever done anything bad to him was that woman when he first woke up. "I'm going to need to give you a shot, is that alright?"

Killua blinked. Shot? He frowned slightly. "Mmh...what is...shot?" He mumbled. The doctor's eyes widened in slight surprise. "You've never had a shot before?" He shrugged. "Dunno" Maybe he had and just forgot, he couldn't remember the last time he'd been to a hospital. Doctor Wek bit his lip a little. "That might be an issue" He muttered under his breath. Killua felt slightly uneasy. Why? He held out a hand. "I'm going to need you to give me your arm for the shot" Killua looked at the man's eyes for a moment. I see...kindness. He wants to help me. Killua took a breath and bit back his mistrust for a while. The male doctors only did what was best for him, they made his pain lessen and made his body hurt less. So he hesitantly held his arm out. The doctor started rubbing it with a small wetish cloth thing with one hand, the other was clamped firmly around his arm. Why's...why's he holding me so tightly? He tried to push back his worries but when he brought out a cylinder with a sharp point on the end fear shot through him. He's gonna hurt me! h-he's so strong, I can't- Tears stung the corners of his eyes and he tried to pull away. "Hey, it's ok I promise-" He tried to soothe Killua as he brought the sharp point closer but he had started to hyperventilate a little. I need to get away, I NEED TO GET FREE.

Killua yanked as hard as he could as tears streamed down his cheeks, when that didn't work he tried harder and heard a few popping noises. The doctor's eyes went wide as his arm slipped free and Killua felt a small pain in his arm but it was worth it. He bolted for the door, then gripped the doorknob with his shaking hand. "H-How the hell-" Killua followed the doctor's gaze down to his arm, which seemed to have been bent out of place. Kinda hurts... He gritted his teeth and put an arm on it, then shoved the bone back where it was supposed to be. There was another pop and he started to tremble as Doctor Wek stood up. "S-Stay back!" He said, fear threaded through his voice. "Wai-" Killua's hyperventilating got worse. He's gonna hurt me, I don't wanna be hurt again- He reached out to Killua and he banged on the door. "GON!" He yelled, tears streaming down his cheeks. The door handle twisted and it banged open, startling both him and the doctor. Killua was about to run away when he saw the face. "Killua!" He bolted behind Gon and grabbed him from the back, hands clenching on his shirt and trembling like crazy. "Killua what's wrong!" Gon asked worriedly. He sobbed into the back of his jacket. "H-He tried to stab me! A-And when I ran away h-he tried to grab me again." Killua managed through his sobs.
