The windblume festival was going smoothly till I remembered, that Bennett hadn't returned yet. And visiting Barbra was the evidence I needed. And after getting direction from Rosaria, I turned to head towards the thousand winds temple.

"Hold on, You aren't going alone are you?" Rosaria asked.

"Well, you're free to come with, but I'm sure you're wanting to spend your time off at the tavern," Y/n smirked.

"Indeed, so don't go off doing something stupid," Rosaria stated as she walked off.

"Of course not," Y/n said slowly as she walked towards the gates of mondstadt.

After traveling through the fields and ruins, all the while avoiding the many hilichurl camps. Yet as she got closer and closer to the temple, she could feel her mind slipping and clouding.

"When did I get so... Tired?" Y/n yawned as she fell to her knees.

As her mind faded, her body began to transform. At the Temple Bennett and Razor sat quietly in their cells, as the ruined guard roamed about the thousand winds temple. It was becoming night, and it was getting cold as the two boys stayed warm thanks to Bennett's vision.

"Stomach...growling," Razor said, as he held his stomach.

"You ate all the food I had," Bennett sighed as his tummy grumbled as well.

Suddenly the sound of exploding projectiles and metal slashing metal could be heard. The two boys quickly got up to try to get a look at who was going to save them potentially. Soon the Ruin guard fell to the ground in defeat and a strange creature opened the cell. The boys were happy to be freed but stopped as they took in their hero. They had never seen this monster before, they certainly smelt strange, but why were they dressed in Y/n's clothes? They didn't know what to think.

The being seemingly tried to speak, but no voice came out. As they tried again a horrible roar rattled the sky. A black skeletal winged looking beast flies over them. The creatures of the forest were all panicked as the white-eared creature too ran in fear. Dashing into the woods away from the flying monster.

"W-Wait!" Benett called.

"Must...Run...Big danger," Razor said as he pulled his Neko friend towards Mondstadt.

"I hope that person is okay," Benette sighed as the two ran back to the city.

The city of Mondstadt was rattled in panic as the Roar echoed across the sky. The knights ran to the walls and gates of the city and looked up to the sky. To see the dark mist of the flying corpse of a dragon. It flew around the wolvendom forest, searching and hunting as it slowly got closer to the city. One guard on the wall noticed a figure running towards the bridge, it was Y/n!

"Doctor Y/n, Hurry back to the City!" The knight called out, inadvertently attracting the dragon's attention.

The Dragon suddenly changed direction and headed straight towards the doctor. For a seemingly undead dragon, it was fast and was crossing the forest quickly. Miles was quick to notice where the dragon was head, and to who.

"We can't let them into the City, the Dragon is after them!" Miles shouted as he tried to close the gate.

"What! We can't just leave them to die!" Huffman shouted back. "We can't turn our backs on the doctor."

Suddenly the wind began to pick up, and a large blue dragon collided with the other. The two beasts fought in the sky as Huffman tried to keep the gate open as long as possible. The knights were split on their stance on the situation. Some agreed with Miles and that they have to protect the rest of the city first. While others don't believe the city's beloved doctor deserved to get left to die.

Sadly as the knights fought amongst themselves, the gate slowly but surely began to close. Acting master Jean and Caption Kaeya came rushing to see what was the commotion at the gate.

Jean's widen in shock to see such chaos. The knights were fighting each other and saw Y/n outside the city as the gate closes in front of them. Before Jean even gave the order, Kaeya was already galloping out over the bridge. Swiftly scooped the human into his arms and dashed back through the gate.

"T-thank you Kaeya," Y/n gasped as she trembled slightly.

"Are you alright? What were you doing out there?" Kaeya asked.

"I-I don't know. I was out there to find Bennett, but I can't remember anything beyond that," Y/n explained nervesly.

After a while, the skeletal dragon roared in frustration and disappeared into a cloud of smoke. Divalin Roared in triumph and flew off to who knows where. Y/n continued to latch onto him as adrenaline and fear still rushed through her body. Just as things began to calm down, the strict Voice of Jean could be heard over the loud murmurs of the people.

"Why where you fight amongst each other, and not looking over the gates and walls?" Jean glared.

"The Dragon was after the Doctor, If we let her in the dragon would have attacked the city. She possesses a threat to Mondstadt," Miles stated his case.

"But Y/n has been a crucial member of our city. She helped you when you were sick with the pledge, how could we possibly turn our back on her," Huffman said, glaring at Miles.

Y/n and Kaeya simply watched on as the people came in closer to hear Jean's verdict. Aether and Paimon were there too, listening to the conversation as the citizens whispered to each other.

"How could anyone turn on Y/n like that, after she helped so many?" Paimon sighed in frustration.

"Thank you for your concerns, back to your stations," Jean commanded, as she dispersed the growing crowd.  "Kaeya, take Y/n to the headquarters."

Kaeya nodded and carefully carried Y/n back to the Knight's building. As they passed by, Y/n could feel the slight glares of eyes. Kaeya could feel them too as he hugged Y/n closer to his chest and picked up the pace.

"So this strange Dragon is after the good Doctor?" Lisa gasped in shock.

"It appears so, just like before at stormterror's lair," Jean sighed.

The rest of the knights at around a large table as they discuss what to do. Eula, Albedo, Aether, and Lisa sat quietly as they tried to come up with Ideas of what to do. Could they really put their people through another dragon attack?

"I'm sorry everyone," Y/n apologized softly, their hair covering their eyes.

"Y/n you have nothing to apologize for," Eula sighed.

"I do though. I may not know or understand why this threat is targeting me, but I can't help but feel awful to drag Mondstadt back into chaos again," Y/n whimpered. " And I can already hear the people's whispers."

"Well we're not gonna toss you out to the wild," Lisa said when she suddenly stopped and frowned. Her mind twisted and turned. " But if we did, the problem would simply follow you and away...From... Mondstadt."
