Finally, after finishing and catching up on all her work, Y/n finally could take a break. Time to clean up the clinic, and restock the supplies, and writing notes of the patients. As She sat in her quiet office, she suddenly felt really parched. Not the kind just water could satisfy.
"Well, I guess a small glass of dandelion wine would be so bad," Y/n groaned as she stretched her arms.
After all this paperwork and cleaning, Y/n really needed to get out of her office. So removing her doctor's coat, she quickly left the headquarters and into the brightly lit streets of Mondstadt. Many citizens happily waving at her as they crossed paths; Y/n happily made her way to the angel's share. She could see the town's biggest drunks already wasted at the tables in the front, as she quickly walked past them and entered the tavern. She could hear the usual bard playing his standard tune for the patrons of the Saloon.
But she gasped softly in surprise to see Diluc at the counter as Charles, was doing inventory. " Good evening Master Diluc, It's quite rare for you to man the counter," Y/n smiled.
"Well I didn't feel like being cooped up in the winery, so I came here. I didn't realize you had a taste for alcohol, Y/n," Diluc commented.
"Not really, Usually, Kaeya would invite me to drink with him, but Tonight I came for a glass of dandelion wine and some good grape juice," Y/n chuckled as she took a seat.
"Ha, Well I too like the taste of grape juice, so you can be sure it will be the best quality," Diluc said as the corner of his lip curled slightly.
"Thank you master Diluc," Y/n smiled," Oh, but with all this stormterror business, how has business been?"
"Not good, I just hope things come to an end soon," Diluc sighed when the door to the Tavern burst open.
Three figures came barging in, all sweaty and huffing from running. Y/n recognized them immediately, it was Venti, Aether, and Paimon all with worried looks on their faces. The three quickly ran up to the second floor, seemingly to avoid something.
"Y/n, do you mind keeping an eye on those two, Something strange about that bard. I'll go ask around," Diluc said as he finished Y/n's two drinks.
"Ask Who?" Y/n asked.
"The "Protectors" of Mondstadt," Diluc said bitterly as some Knights came rushing in just after.
"Master Diluc, and Doctor Y/n have you seen three two thieves come through here?" One of the Knights asked.
"What happened? Why have you mobilized so many guards?" Diluc asked.
"haven't you heard two thieves are trying to steal the holy lyre," The second knight informed?
"Oh? How odd," Diluc said simply.
Y/n on the other hand side Eyed her bard friend, who was peering down at her from the second floor. Discreetly raising a brow at him, giving the "What did you do" stare. Venti smiled bashfully at her, knowing exactly what she was implying at him. He quietly mouthed " I'll explain everything" to her, as Y/n sighed in disbelief as she turned back to the conversation at hand.
"Well I did see two people running that way," Y/n said as she pointed out the window.
"Thank you Doctor Y/n," The two saluted and quickly went on their wild goose chase.
