My alarm clock violently vibrated, waking me from my peaceful slumber. I reached over and turned it off, feeling a mix of excitement and anticipation for the day ahead. As I slowly opened my eyes, the soft morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow on my room. With a stretch and a yawn, I swung my legs over the side of the bed, feeling the soft carpet beneath my feet. I reached for my phone on the bedside table, checking the time and scrolling through messages.

After a quick trip to the bathroom to freshen up, I made my way downstairs, following the enticing aroma of breakfast wafting through the air. Aunt Jenna had prepared a delicious spread of pancakes, fresh fruit, and steaming cups of coffee. I savoured each bite, feeling the warmth and love that filled the room. As I finished my meal, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the simple joys of a cosy morning at home. Life has never been so much peaceful.

Just as I was about to gather my things and head out the door, I heard a familiar honk outside. Adrian had arrived, his car parked neatly in front of our house. With a quick goodbye to Aunt Jenna, I grabbed my backpack and rushed outside to meet him. The excitement of the day ahead filled the air.

As I approached Adrian's car, I could see him leaning against the door, a big smile on his face. I opened the door and hopped into the passenger seat, greeted by the familiar scent of Adrian's car air freshener.

'Hey, Good morning! Ready for school?'

'Hey, Good morning! I can't wait! It's going to be a great day!

Adrian turned on the engine, and we began our journey to school. The radio played our favourite tunes, filling the car with lively beats and catchy melodies. I couldn't help but tap my foot along to the music, feeling the excitement building up inside me.

'Thanks for picking me up, Adrian.'

'No problem, Iylah! It's my pleasure.'

I smiled, feeling grateful for the moments I had with Adrian. As we continued the drive, our laughter and conversation filled the car, setting the tone for a day filled with joy.

'I have something to show you. We are going to my place after school. Are you free?'

'Of course! I'm intrigued. What is it that you want to show me?'

'It's a surprise!', he added with a mischievous grin on his face. 'I'll pick you up after class.'

'You've piqued my curiosity! I'm excited to see what it is.'

Adrian has a surprise for me! This has me feeling ecstatic! The anticipation is killing me, and I can't help but be filled with joy and excitement. I have no idea what it is, but I'm sure it's going to be amazing. I'm counting down the minutes until I get to see what he has planned.

With anticipation in my heart, I eagerly awaited the end of the school day, eager to unravel the mystery that Adrian had in store.

After classes were over, Adrian picked me up from the parking. I looked out of the window the whole time. The knot in my stomach was growing every second. The sun is about to set. After seven or eight minutes of driving, Adrian pulls his car in front of a huge mansion with large glass windows. This mansion is twice as big as my dad's. There is a huge yard in the front with gardens on both sides of the sidewalk. This is astonishingly royal. It looks beautiful even under the street lights. Must be the mayor's mansion. Adrian walks out to my side to hold the door.

'Welcome to my home,' Adrian welcomes me with a warm smile.

'It's beautiful,' I tell him with an equally warm smile.
