[SONG: PIERRE by Ryn Weaver]

Oh, my god! My eyes are wide open. I am shaking and cold. What are you doing? No, don't. I am not ready for this. My heart started beating faster and faster. I feel like it's going to beat out of my chest. I started sweating profusely. The palm of my hands turned ice cold.

What is this strange feeling? Am I falling for a stranger?

He takes my loose shoelaces and ties them perfectly into a cute bow.

I didn't even notice my shoelaces were loose. I could have tripped over anything and would have gotten nasty bruises if it wasn't for him. He noticed that. A total gentleman.

He stands up and smiles at me.

"I am glad you didn't trip over, earlier." He asks me politely.

"No. But I surely would have if you weren't there to notice. Thank you so much." I thank him politely with a smile on my face. "Are you a student?"

"Please don't thank me. And no, I am not a student here. And yes, we have botany together. Gracetown is my home." He tells me.

Oh.

"I came here looking for you." He adds scratching the back of his neck.

I am shaking. Mr I-DON'T-KNOW-HIS-NAME came here for me? Why? We just met last night and he disappeared suddenly without a trace. We're total strangers.

"Iylah, I am Adrian. And I'm sorry for vanishing last night. That wasn't the right thing to do. I apologize for my actions, please forgive me." He tells me softly.

Adrian.

His eyes are so intense and tender. How am I not supposed to accept the apologies he asked for? Wait a minute! He knows my name? He knows my name! How?

"Adrian. Hey! And it's really fine I didn't even think about that. By the way, how do you know my name?" I ask him.

"Gracetown is a small town, you know. News travels with the speed of light. And you're Dr. Parker's niece, so it's obvious, everybody knows you." He tells me.

I smile at him.

"Are you free?" He asks me.

"No, not at all. I was just going to change and head home."

"Do you wanna go grab some coffee or anything you wish? I know a wonderful place here and I'll love to show you around. I can be your tour guide. If you don't mind?"

"Coffee would be great. Yeah! And I can't think of another tour guide better than you. I'll just go take a shower and change quickly."

"Take your time. I'll wait outside." He tells me a starts walking casually towards the main gate.

I rushed into the bathroom as fast as I could. I'm sweating and I can't smell bad in front of Adrian.

Adrian is a good name. Fancy and modern and suits his personality.

The water is cold. I can feel my body slightly shiver. The cold water runs all over my body breaking the tension between my tired muscles. It feels so relaxing. After a quick shower, I changed into the clothes I was wearing earlier today. I took two bobby pins and just secured my hair, took my bag pack, and ran out of the gateway.

I see Adrian waiting for me, patiently outside a blue vintage car. Adrian is a man of taste. He looks at me and smiles. He's so cute and charming.

Adrian opens the door of his car for me and I settle in against the leather seat of his car. Such a gentleman. His car smells like cologne and so does he.

"What car is this?" I ask him as he starts driving smoothly.

"It's a 1969 Chevy Camaro Convertible." He tells me proudly. Boys and cars. An exceptional relationship.

"A vintage, huh?"

"Yes! It was my grandad's. You know, Iylah I've got a real connection and lots of memories with this car. It's really special for me."

"I see."

He goes on and tells me more about his car even though I didn't get a single thing. I like to watch his lips when he talks. The excitement on his face and his smile are the best. I just smile at him every time he looks at me while explaining.

"Hey umm.. can I ask you something? If you don't mind." Adrian asks me filling the awkward silence.

"Yes, anything."

"What happened? Why did you leave the city?"

I take a deep breath.

"My parents. They got divorced so I moved in with my aunt. Away from the chaos."

"Must be very difficult to handle everything. Sometimes families can be a bit.."

"overbearing?" I say before he could complete his sentence.

"Overbearing. Exactly!" He laughs and I join him.

Soon Adrian drives onto a gravel road.

"We're here." He says and pulls into a parking space. We walk towards a classic coffee shop namely 'Coffee Day'.

"After you." Adrian opens the glass door for me and I smile at him and walk inside.

This place is extremely beautiful and classy. The furniture is all wooden matching perfectly with the plain white colored wall. There are many framed photos hanging on the wall and a bulletin board with many notes probably from the customers. The other side of the wall is decorated with fake leaves and fairytale lights hanging down. We walk to a table. Adrian pulls out a chair for me and I settle down. This man has manners. The table is perfectly decorated with napkins and a vase with red roses in the middle.
