Walking in the busy streets of Rose Kingdom during winter is somewhat calming for your nerves after your grinding work to catch a weekly deadline of a popular fashion magazine in the kingdom. Publishing work can be hard too, holiday is here and you're expecting more work.

It was 6 in the evening and you're out for dinner. You were going to cross the road to the diner when a red sports car sped up in front of you.

"What the-," you didn't finished your sentence when some of the snow from the road hit you and your coat. You sighed as you continued to cross the road while cleaning your clothes and entered the diner.

You ordered your food and as you sat in a table near the window, you realized how familiar the red car was. Your shrugged it off and continued your meal, you need to get back to work.

TWISTED WONDERLAND

"A party? For what?" You asked. You removed your glasses and rubbed your eyes. You pulled another all nighter.

Erica, a co-worker and a friend, leaned from her cubicle. "The boss was invited to a party with some authors and magazine persons, you know, the people we work with."

You nodded. "And?"

"And he wanted to bring mostly of the crew, that means we also are invited," she said, excitedly. You smiled at her excitement, it's good to have a break and enjoy yourselves.

"When's the party?"

"He said it will be held next week, Friday, at the Cards Hotel," she answered again.

"Cards? The host must be loaded," you both laughed and stood up to get some coffee before continuing work.

And that Friday came and you have no idea what to wear to a party. Most of your clothes are not stylish enough for an evening party with popular and rich people. So you pulled out some latest fashion magazines and search some sites through your phone.

You frowned, it will be too late to go shopping now. You sat on your bed while staring at your closet. What to do?

You sighed and pick some dresses that will look good on you. After some time, you decided to wear a black pleated midi dress with sleeves, a silver belt around your waist and a simple black wedge heels.

Erica was waiting outside of your apartment and already called a taxi. There's a little traffic on the way but you still arrived on time. And on time means the introductions to everyone are over and the party already started. Your boss was talking to someone and stopped to greet the both of you.

"Glad you can make it," he said. You and Erica smiled. "Enjoy the party," he leaned closer to the both of you and whispered. "It's free food."

You and Erica laughed and excused yourselves. You stayed in the corner while Erica offered to get the drinks.

"So, anyone familiar?" She asked as she hands you a glass of champagne.

"No one, except for our co-workers and some popular models and authors," you answered and took a sip.

"Any guess who the host is?"

"The hotel owner?" Erica giggled.

"I just found out it's the owner of the biggest publishing company here," she said while looking around. Someone caught her eyes, she grinned and immediately handed you her untouched champagne.

"Be right back," she said and left.

You sighed and shook your head. Now what to do with this glass-

"Are you drinking that too?" A slightly familiar voice beside you asked. A man with a big black and white fur coat on his arm is now standing there, pointing at Erica's champagne glass. Why is he so familiar?

"Miss (L/N)?" Your eyes widened when you heard your name.

"H-how did you know-"

He suddenly looked surprised and confused too. "You don't remember me?"

"Uhmm.. No, am I supposed to? I'm very sorry if I offended you sir-"

"Divus."

"What?"

"Divus, that's my name. Divus Crewel," he said with a frown. Seems like I really offended him. But wait, Divus what?-

"Ah-"

"Ah?"

"You're Crewel! The fashion guy!" You immediately covered your mouth the moment you realized what you just said.

"Fashion guy? That's a way to describe me, Miss (L/N)," he chuckled.

"How... do you know my name... ?" You hesitantly asked him.

He sighed. "A champagne first?" He said while staring on the other glass that you were holding.

"Oh! No, no, I think you should get a new one."

"It's still untouched, so it's fine," he snatched the glass from your hand. He finished the drink in just one chug and placed it at the table. "You really.."

"Really what?"

"Don't remember me?" He asked. You shook your head truthfully.

"Uh, maybe I've seen you in some magazines but I really don't know or remember who you are," you answered and took another sip of the champagne.

You saw Crewel rolled his eyes and rested his chin in his hand. What the heck.

"Then how about I start like 'Hi (Y/N)! It's me, Mono! Long time no see, how are you?'" he sarcastically said.

Mono...

Once again, your eyes widened. No way...

"No fucking way."
