Chapter Twenty-Seven: The End is Nigh

After taking Cern's hand you are transported into a blizzard. You look around confused not being able to see much in front of you.

"What the fuck?" you say to yourself looking around.

Then you notice where you are. THAT day you tried to bury deep down inside your head. Looking down you see blood streaks leading to a horse covered in snow.

You slowly start walking towards it, "No...."

You keep walking getting ever so closer to what you've been afraid of all these years. Then you reach your destination. An arm protruding from the snow.

"She looks so peaceful." You hear Cern from behind.

Cerise's chest is ripped open and one of her arms is held onto by ligaments. Organs are missing and strewn about. You begin to chuckle.

"Something funny Y/N?"

Her face is mangled and one of her eyeballs is hanging out.

You begin to laugh harder now.

"You wished deep down this would happen to her."

You fall to your knees wheezing and holding your ribs.

"How she treated you. You just wanted someone to love who you are."

Tears start to fall off your cheeks onto the snowy ground. You hear a horse coming from the distance.

"But she rejected you, what you became."

You are now uncontrollably sobbing.

"Demon of the willows, Wendigo!"

"Shut the fuck up!" you yell back.

You throw the explosive in your hand over the counter and it explodes killing some of the Bastard Syndicate advancing on you. You jump over the counter and start shooting the survivors. Wolves start to eat at the corpses and the few survivors from the blast. Moving back down the hallway you call out to Edward.

"I'm coming for you!"

Josephine's POV

You dust yourself off and look back at the now closed off entrance to the secret lab.

"One way to take care of that problem." you say to yourself.

You begin ascending the stairwell and start heading where Y/N went. You start to hear distant gunshots and screaming. As you approach the door leading to the second floor you see blood streaked on the window. You look through the window and Y/N's face pops up out of nowhere.

"Jesus!"

He places something against the door, "I'm sorry Josephine, this is as far as you get."

"What the hell are you talking about?" you say trying the doorhandle.

"You don't want to come in here."

You can hear howling on the other side, "Y/N what the fuck is going on!"

"Just leave alright! Get back to the others! I'll meet you there!"

"Fuck that! Let me- "

Just then a wolf jumps at the window breaking it sending glass pieces to your face.

"What the- "

"Leave before they get you!"

"You're not getting rid of me that easily!" you say descending the stairs.
