Chapter Two: Country Roads

Clementine takes a step out the door and is stopped by Louis.

"Just an ally? What about everything that we've been through?"

Clementine places a hand on his arm and pushes him out of the way.

"What about Violet? She almost lost her vision- "

Clementine spins around on her heel to face Louis, "Do you want me to slap you again?"

Louis flinches, "No- "

"Then get over yourself. Ally, friend, what do you want me to say?"

"Boyfriend." he says under his breath.

"Excuse me?"

He looks away, "Nothing."

"Well, I'm sending you out with Aasim to retrieve his bike."

Louis rolls his eyes letting out a chuckle, "And where do you assume we should start looking?"

"Down the road, look for any tire tracks and signs of a crash."

Louis sighs folding his arms, "Fine."

"That means go now Louis, not five hours from now."

"Yes ma'am." he says giving a salute leaving the building.

Clementine shakes her head, "Idiot."

You open your eyes to see a kid standing above you.

"Hello."

"Who are you?"

"Y/N, what's your name?"

He contemplates before answering, "Alvin Jr. Everyone calls me AJ though."

"Well, AJ, it's nice to meet you." you say putting out your hand.

He takes your hand and shakes it.

"Why do you have funny drawings all over you?" he said chuckling.

You sit up slowly, "These? They're called tattoos."

He gives you a confused look, "How come they haven't rubbed off yet?"

"They're permanent, ink was injected into my skin."

He gives you a painful look, "Why do that? It sounds painful."

You give a weak smile, "They all tell a story. They all mean something to me."

"What does that one mean?" he says pointing to your chest.

"Those are a bushel of roses; I knew someone who loved roses so much that they would always have one with them."

He chuckles, "That's strange."

You look down placing a hand on the tattoo, "Now I carry them always, for her."

"What about the one behind your left ear?"

I shoot my gaze at the open door. Honey gold eyes are locked onto me.

I look away and shake my head.

"What does it mean?" says Clementine walking closer.

You sigh, "I got that with the first group I was with. It...... it was forced on me to get."

She nods her head, "I sent Louis and Aasim to get your bike."

"Is Y/N gonna stay with us Clem?" asks AJ.

"I don't know goofball- "

"Clem!"
