A Little Bit of Bad Luck

Ch 14: The Feast

Behold, "Feast". Pretty scary stuff. 🐸

A/N: this plays out very similar to the way it happens in the canon cartoon so feel free to skim it. Just wanted to add it for the introduction of Su-Han.

"Mayura, begin the awakening," Hawk Moth commanded her.

She awakened the sentimonster created on accident by Fu all those years ago. It was hard for her to control it. It's hungry. Hawk Moth's akuma floated down just in time as the sentimonster emerged, and connected with it.

"Feast, I am Hawk Moth. I know you are hungry for miraculous. I will give you the ability to track down the remaining miraculous! In return, I only ask that I can use the Cat and Ladybug miraculous. After that, you can even have the Peacock and Butterfly miraculous," Hawk Moth's voice traveled to the creature.

Feast roared in agreement. The sentimonster grew to the size of a bus and smashed through the catacombs and into the post office above. Feast could sense a large congregation of miraculous in the air and charged towards them.

Master Fu sprung into action as soon as he heard the news broadcast of the monster destroying the post office. It was still early in the morning, well before the sun peaked above the horizon line. The beast wasn't going to rest until it had all the miraculous. He didn't know what kind of powers Hawk Moth had given it either.

"Wayzz-" he started but searing back pain caused him to double over.

Wayzz hovered around his master. "You're too old to fight, Master."

Master Fu sighed. "I'm useless."

Wayzz shook his head. "No! You chose fine miraculous holders I'm sure they will save the day."

The ground started to shake and the pictures hung up in his small apartment fell off the walls. Master Fu grabbed the Miracle Box, placed it gently in his satchel, and crawled out the window onto the fire escape. Wayzz was tucked safely into his shirt pocket. He kept his bike at the back of his building in case he needed a quick getaway.

He inched down the treacherous fire escape ladder and finally made it to solid ground. In the distance, he could hear the beast roaring on the other side of his building.

Master Fu's eyes widened. "He must be able to track the miraculous!" 

Wayzz nodded. "We need to get out of here fast!"

Marinette woke up in a cold sweat. She had forgotten to take the sleeping medicine last night and had a strange nightmare. She felt cold and numb as she heard someone calling out her name. Their voice sounded distant. Even as buildings burned around her, she didn't feel any heat.

She shivered.

"Marinette, look!" Tikki exclaimed.

She saw smoke out her window and heard the distant screams of people in danger. She jumped up. Now was not the time to be in a daze.

"Tikki, spots on!" she called out and Tikki was sucked into the miraculous.
