A Little Bit of Bad Luck

Ch 22: The Nightmares Return

Marinette was already sitting in class when Félix got there. She was never earlier than him.

She perked up. "Félix." She had been waiting for him. The nightmare she had made it hard to fall back asleep. Although, the kiss wasn't so bad.

He sat down in front of her. "Let me guess, you had a nightmare last night too."

She nodded and stood up, approaching his seat.

He avoided her eyes as she hovered over him. "What was yours about?" 

She blushed "Um. Someone was calling for me to help them." She hesitated before she continued. "And, I dreamt about you."

He turned to her. Their eyes met. "I also dreamt about you." She kept his gaze for a few moments before she looked away.

He was glad she didn't go into detail about the dream. It was enough to cause some alarm, but he knew Su-Han wasn't going go as easy on them with the questions.

More students trickled into class. 

Marinette leaned towards him. "Let's see Su-Han after class," she whispered. She returned to her seat behind him.

Chloé eyed Marinette from her spot at the back of the class. She had never seen Marinette and Ladybug in the same room together. She was determined to prove the baker's daughter couldn't be the heroic Ladybug.

Although, Marinette was a goody two-shoes. Chloé huffed. She noticed that when she was trailing Marinette the other day, Ladybug showed up pretty quickly to save the day. That couldn't be a coincidence, could it?

She had been so embarrassed from being called out by Ladybug. She scowled. Luckily that reporter had stopped Ladybug from chasing after her. Pollen had probably realized she wasn't using the miraculous for good because she stopped asking the prying questions.

It was only a matter of time before Hawk Moth saw someone had obtained the Bee miraculous. He would likely try to contact Queen Bee now.

She observed Marinette exchanging more words with Félix. Why is he so chummy with her all of a sudden? She growled under her breath. First, it was their date in the café and the little walk with the flirty behavior. Now, they were chatting like close friends.

Sabrina eyed Chloé when she heard the strange guttural sound. Chloé seemed to be losing her grip on reality. She continued to push Sabrina away, telling her they didn't need to be together to work on the project. Sabrina didn't understand the reason why, and that made her more worried.

After class dismissed, Chloé ran out without saying a word to Sabrina. She crept closely behind Marinette. Where is she going with Félix?! Utterly ridiculous!

Félix and Marinette slipped into the same cafe they had been to before. Chloé tried to keep an eye on them from outside, but she lost them once they disappeared inside.

Are they actually dating? She felt her anger rising.
