A Little Bit of Bad Luck

Ch 21: The Wayward Future

(A/N: the ~ represents any scene taking place in the future)

Sometime in the not-so-far-off future, Hawk Moth defeats Ladybug and Chat Noir, taking their miraculous and revealing that Chat Noir is his son. He blames Marinette for corrupting Félix and casts them both aside, leaving the scene quickly. He returns to his lair to finally finish what he started.

Hawk Moth held the two miraculous delicately in his hands. Finally. He had eagerly waited for this day. He could return to his beloved and go back to his happy family. One where Félix didn't constantly question him or spend his time with that foolish girl. One where Félix doesn't become that retched Chat Noir. He could nurture Félix into the perfect, obedient child.

Tikki and Plagg huddled together in the corner, worried for the fate of their beloved companions.

He placed the jewels on, then unified them, sucking the kwamis into their respective miraculous. A bright explosion erupted around him. He opened his eyes to a white light. He could finally make his wish.

Paris erupted in flames, burning through everything in sight. The ground began to shake and split open. How could I have let this happen, Marinette thought. She winced at the pain shooting through her arm. Her head throbbed. Without Tikki she was useless.

"Félix!" she called out to him and noticed him among the wreckage.

He stirred and let out a moan.

Marinette dropped to her knees and hovered over him. "Are you okay?" Tears welled in her eyes.

Félix reached up and caressed her cheek. "I'm okay." He had a killer headache and had to lay there for a moment after Hawk Moth slammed him against the wall. Without Plagg, he had nothing protecting him.

He noticed her arm. It was bruised with a blood-soaked cloth wrapped around it.

"We need to find a way to contact Su-Han!" Marinette said, breaking up his thoughts.

"Marinette! Félix!" An older woman wearing a blue and white suit with matching bunny ears and an umbrella jumped out of thin air towards them. She had short red hair that bounced when she talked.

Félix stood in front of Marinette. "Who are you?"

Bunnyx held up her hands. "Don't be alarmed! I'm a friend. I'm from the future! We need to hurry. The name's Bunnyx." She grinned.

They didn't have time to doubt her.

"Can you contact the others?" He assumed she had a miraculous from her getup.

She nodded. "I'll bring you to the other miraculous holders I've located."

They arrived at an abandoned factory. They were greeted by Alya, Nino, Chloé, and Nathalie.

Félix's eyes widened. "Nathalie?"

Nathalie looked away. "Félix, I... didn't want you to find out this way."

His heart fluttered. This can only mean that his father was Hawk Moth. His conspiracy theories were correct. He wished they hadn't been. All those times he angrily accused his father of being Hawk Moth in his head. He had been right.
