"SAM! PHIL!" I yelled as loud as I could before covering my face to try and protect myself.

As one of them leaped for me I heard it yelp in pain.

I squinted my eyes open to see Sam holding an axe and an ender pearl while blood dripped from the axe.

His body was tense but softened as he turned around to look at me, "are you ok?" He asked kneeling to me.

He put his axe away as the other dogs sprinted off into the forest, out of fear of the warden.

Sam helped me up and as I placed my foot on the ground I almost fell back down if it weren't for Sam holding me up, "are you hurt?" He asked concerned.

"I think my leg's broken," I said trying to hold it up off the ground.

Sam sighed lifting me off of the ground into his arms bridal style, "I'll carry you back, it's like trouble follows you around," he half-joked.

I scoffed about to move my leg over the other before a shock of pain struck my shin.

I stopped moving and Sam chuckled, "I'd suggest not moving."

"Kinda late for that don't you think?" I asked sarcastically.

As he walked into the house resting me down on the couch as Phil and Sam tried to heal me bandaging up my now broken leg, I realized that I didn't have a choice but to stay here now.

I laid my head against the pillow in defeat, not to mention the utter horror that took over my body in the realization that I had almost lost my last life.

I never realized that what I had thought to be a horrible dream when I was a teenager turned out to be a reality to the knowledge of now knowing I had three lives, like a game.

Except what was three lives now was only one, and I was the only person that knew.

At least, that's what I thought.

Phil came back over with a bowl of soup joking about how I'm going to be here for a while when he noticed how pale I was.

"Mate, what's wrong?" He asked placing the bowl down next to me.

I shook my head giving a weak smile, "sorry, I was just thinking about how I had almost lost my la- second life," I lied.

Phil looked a little confused at my statement but brushed it off.

Sam turned around looking at me concerned, "y/n, are you sure?" He asked.

I nodded, he didn't seem convinced.

Phil made sure my leg was levitated high enough so it was comfortable for me.

There were a few times where I tried to move only to be stopped by the two men, Steve eventually came downstairs resting next to me as Fran sat on my lap while I pet her head stroking her fur.

"She seems to like you," Sam said pointing out the obvious.

I let out a small nervous laugh looking down at Fran stroking her back.

I heard a low growl come from Steve as I reached my hand down satisfying the very needy bear, but I couldn't deny how adorable he was.

As I did so I heard a low chuckle come from Sam as he climbed up the ladder to repair some of his tools.

As I watched him go up I couldn't stop thinking about if I should tell him I'm on my last canon life, but at the same time, I didn't want to burden him more than I already have.

Fran curled herself into a ball in my lap as she drifted off to sleep, I had a good feeling I was going to be bored for quite a while.

As I continued to sit there I zoned out letting my thoughts take me away, remembering the first-ever canon life taken from me.
