Sam's blood ran cold, his body still as his skin went pale.

She... she was gone.

He kneeled next to her body, he took his mask off holding her head close to his as he lightly kissed her forehead.

His grip on her strengthened as tears dropped from his eyes onto her clothes.

Her soft hair between his leather gloved fingers, this was nothing Sam has ever felt before in his life, the amount of grief heavied his heart.

Dream was overwhelmed, he had just killed her.

The feeling made the adrenaline inside him run wild, he slumped against the closest tree, he shouldn't laugh, he knew this for sure, yet he couldn't help it.

First, a low chuckle that then turned into a cackled, his laughter was then uncontrollable.

"SHUT UP," Sam's voice boomed, Dream couldn't stop though, he wheezed and laughed till his lungs gave out.

Sam then stood up turning to Dream.

Without thinking he picked him up thrashing him against the tree, one punch after the other.

More blood splattered everywhere as Dream's laughter quieted down.

"W-wait, Sam-" Sam did not stop as Dream pleaded.

Sam was set on killing the man that had just destroyed his life in a heartbeat.

Sam's eyes glowed red, blinded by hatred, anger, and regret not killing him the first chance he had inside that damn forsaken prison.

If he did kill him there was no going back, some might praise him for being a hero yet he would live with guilt in his actions.

It didn't matter to him at the moment, his only thought was wiping Dream from the face of the earth.

Dream was running out of ideas on how to save himself when it hit him.

"I CAN REVIVE HER."

Sam stopped, he held his fist up ready to throw another punch in case Dream tried anything.

He held Dream's shirt lifting his feet off of the ground, his eyebrows furrowed, "speak," was all he said.

Dream smirked taking in a breath, "I know how to bring her back, but you need to give me the book."

Sam knew he was speaking the truth, yet he didn't want to believe it.

Did he have any other choice though?

At the wall, Techno and Tommy continue to brawl with one another, a fight between brothers, one they did not wish to have.

"YOU BETRAYED ME AGAIN TECHNO! YOU KIDNAPPED MY BEST FRIEND!" Tommy screamed as their swords clashed against each other.

"I HAD NO CHOICE TOMMY, HE WOULD'VE KILLED HER IF I DIDN'T COMPLY."

They backed off from each other only a yard away, "you could've protected her from him, kept her away from him, but you didn't," Tommy spat, his words full of hatred and spite, "I bet he's out there killing her as we speak!"

Techno didn't move, "if he were, he knows what I would do to him-"

"Do you really think he would care!?" Tommy interrupted.

Techno thought about this for a moment, for the first time he had not thought about whether Dream would do something with a consequence or not.

Techno brought his sword down to his side, as did Tommy, "Techno," he said, "please... let me win, just this once."
