"What is that you have found, Jacob?" he heard
He turned the book around slowly, careful as to not damage it. Through the faded cursive letters he could trace out the words 'My diary'.
"It's a diary" he replied holding up the book in his hands
"Whose diary is that, mate?" Creed enquired further
He flicked open the front page, it read
"This diary belongs to Jeon Junkook and if found, please return it to the owner"
~ Thank you
"I can't believe my eyes... we have the dairy of The famous Jeon Junkook, who have nearly revolutionized the field of astrophysics in the last 20 years" Creed exclaimed
"It is miracle to have found an object of writing after so many years. The diary seems to be the only hope of any source of information. " Beth said munching on her Nutri bars.
"The last I heard about the scientist was that he has been bedridden for the past few years...seemed to have lost all his memory, maybe this might help him to revive the memories of the expenditure he had," Jacob recalled
"That seems farfetched," Beth said going for another bite of her bar
"What does?" Jacob questioned narrowing his eyes at her
"Reviving the memory of an 89-year-old man with a diary" Beth replied apathetically
"Well then at least we can know how it was to have been to an expenditure back in the 1920s" Creed interfered, knowing that if he hadn't a war might break out.
It has been weeks since the trio reached the south pole, in search of excavations, or rather say past remains of the great scientist that came in the land of ice when there were no mechanized tools to sustain them apart from their intellect. They have not found much evidence of existence yet. So far all they could find was some broken parts of what appears to be a once functional telescope and a dairy between them. To have the opportunity to come this far is rare but to return with nothing is a shame.
The night crawls earlier here, sitting in their camps finding comfort in their layers of clothing they decided to turn to the diary for a lead. Creed was the one to open the diary, the writing had a beauty in itself that caught his eyes, the dark ink complemented the pale yellow pages, fanciest of the time, fountain pen he supposed.
"Read it aloud, mate" Jacob proposed
